Where's Slap ? - The Orange Mane

Rumors of him being banned. Is this true ? While he was not always the easiest guy to get along with he was by far the most creative and funniest poster on this site. Isn't entertainment what it is all about anyway ? I went over to his member page and I felt like I was walking through a great old stadium that was about to be torn down. I feel bad if this is true.

It's a temporary ban, as far as I know.

It's a temp ban as far as the site is concerned as I understand it. However, it sounds like Slap may be angry enough with the whole thing that he may not come back. It's unfortunate as he'll miss out on a good board that he's been a part of for a long time... and we'll miss out on a very good poster that can be an a-hole from time to time. Not to worry though, Alec has promised to put in some ot on the mane to make up for Slap departure. That should cover the A-hole part!

Now we need to find 3 or 4 posters with the greatest knowledge in Football, Baseball, Boxing, and Sports History/Betting to put in some OT... that's what Slap brought 90% of the time or when he wasn't picking a battle.

Agree. We need Slap. He knows his stuff and usually brings great points. I don't blame him for getting fed up with some of the childishness and immaturity on this board sometimes.

SLAP is serving a 7 day suspension for vulgar, harassing, and threatening posts and PM's to other posters. It will end next Monday.

We will not accept this behavior here. While we may disagree with each other from time to time, WE WILL REMAIN CIVIL TO EACH OTHER. Stop cursing at each other and stop making references to other people's families. His seven day suspension was the result of a group decision. It was debated for almost 8 hours. If the Tensi situation taught us anything, it's that there are consequences outside of this board. To protect this board and the people here, we need to make sure we are civil to each other.

If Slap doesnt come back, good riddance. We dont need any crying babies. Many have been banned on this site, all have returned. He should take his punishment like a man, but instead his mangina is hurt and he is going to pout.

Personally, from what I heard and this movement to leave the Mane if Slap doesnt come back good riddance. Take Beerslug and freak6 and TailgateNut with you.

Like or dislike, no one is above a ban if the board is threatened by their douchebaggery.

I don't know the situation, and I like Slap about 70% of the time, but Bans aren't handed out lightly around here. I'm sure there was good reason.

Group discussion? Why, didn't one mod have stones to do it by himself?

I suggested before how to avoid this crap here. There are no set of hard rules. If a mod gets pissed at a member he bans them, or if it's a "respected member" there is "group discussion".

Define and enforce the rules evenly and most problems never materialize.

Slap is a great poster but he crossed the line over and over. I want him back as a member of our community but there are rules and he broke them. Period end of story. Hopefully he comes back.

Then you have those calling out Mods and crying like small children. What is this a grade school playground. Grow up or get out as far as Im concerned. The Mods on this board are some of the most even handed I've encountered on ANY board sports or otherwise. How many of us have been banned at chefs planet of fishstick hell

Dont school like fish in water around a few posters who are calling out Mods. Its childish behavior and those that are no better then that I care less if you leave. It happens all the time on internet message boards.......One member says something like "so and so is a crappy mod" then everyone piles on. Be grown up men/women and have your own thoughts. The board needs more individuals then sheep.

What I dont understand is why you constantly complain about your political threads getting moved to the WRP forum. "I dont understand the rules" well obviously they dont want your political threads on the main forum. Its really not brain surgery.

Ya not much in Gunnison at all but "enough" in the mtns around us. Blue Mesa is currently at her limits and the rivers are still running to fast to fish IMO

Who is they? And BTW, why are some political threads OK on the main board and some aren't?

And for the record, I understand the vague rules in place very well. There is one mod here who is a little cloudy on them though.

Most of the mods and 98% of the community. How do I know you ask. The fact that about what 6-10 people are regular posters in the WRP forum. If people wanted to talk politics they know where to go.
