![]() Versus saved NHL when nobody wanted it. I personally think Versus does a great job with its studio show compared to Brett Hull and his negativity on the Ducks. Those guys know hockey and their insight is great IMO.
NBC will get the ratings up but what do they expect when they have some Canadian team playing the much traditional hockey club of the Ducks? I mean, a team from Canada just isnt going to cut it. They needed a fresh team like the Tampa Bay or the Panthers. (Look up sarcasm ) |

![]() Bronx33 article.....
The average regular-season Red Wings ticket cost $43.13, according to Team Marketing Report, but the cheapest first-round playoff ticket was $63 and the top was $144. That increased with each round and topped out at $225 for the conference finals. The Pistons sold 1,000 tickets for the first round at $12 each and their lowest price for the conference finals is $24. My first round tickets were $22, round 2 $31, round 3 $39 and Finals are $48. I thought prices were set by what you paid for each season ticket. My finals ticket is cheaper than their first round tickets. I remember when the Rockies were the hot item and the Avs came to town and won the Cup. Got a call from the Broncos that my "long" 9 month wait on the waiting list was over. Detroit needs to watch out because this can happen with the upsurge of the Tigers and the consistent play of the Pistons. Add bad economy in Detroit and RWs might be in trouble. 24ChampBailey, I hate cats so let us hope the Ducks continue to embarass the Kings and their fans! Maybe this is why Mock hasnt been around. After game one, Beezer was taken by the Almighty. |

I do miss ESPN's coverage though, and I LOVED the ESPN hockey intro music.

7th paragraph, "While the original capacity of the Mellon Arena was 10,500, these and other renovations over the past three decades have increased that number to over 17,000." once again im sorry, i didnt realize you knew more about the arena then the arena people themselves, looks more like 64% to me, but keep living in your dream world. Oh wait you guys use the jacksonville tarp over the seats so they dont really exist trick dont ya ? but just for ****s and giggles, if your team has such die hard fans, why has the team been bankrupt twice ? |

![]() In this interview today, Forsberg said that he's only considering four teams for next season. If he plays in Europe, it'll be Modo (of course) and if he elects to continue his NHL career, he's only interested in returning to Colorado, Philadelphia or Nashville and doesn't see himself considering other offers if they come.
He also says he plans to take his time. Earlier in the week, he said on a tv interview it will not be a money decision at all-- whatever and whenever he chooses, he'll work within the teams' budget to come up with something both sides can agree to. http://aftonbladet.se/vss/sport/stor...085098,00.html |

![]() Rumor is that Pronger is suspended for game 4.
Edit: Quote:

![]() Any other repeat offender would get at least two games. What a joke.
"This one took a lot of thought," Colin Campbell, the NHL's executive vice-president and director of hockey operations, said at a news conference. There's the problem. Thinking & Campbell is like oil & water... |

![]() Has anyone noticed the prime coverage ESPN has been giving the finals on their home page since the finals started? I have no inside information or anything, but the pattern seems to suggest that they are going to be picking up the NHL on some level next year. This would be a GREAT thing.
Has anyone heard anything about this? I just find it very hard to believe that they would be pimping it so hard, even on SportsCenter, and not have something in the works. |

![]() In one breath the NHL is saying they are cracking down hard on crap like Pronger pulled last night, and another breath the NHL is saying, hey look its the Stanley Cup finals and poor pronger, we shouldn't deprive this guy of his chance to play for the cup. Nevermind that 4 games earlier he pulled the same BS. It's no wonder the league is a joke.

![]() I must agree on the dirty hit. As discussed b4 on his height advantage on the boarding call, he knows the elbow/checking is at a face/neck level. In SC, he would need to pull a Bertuzzi to get more than a one gamer.

![]() One of the Ducks needs to punch "Alfie" right in the throat in the third period.
What a thug. Defend your boy, Al Wilson. He's going to get put on the IR in the third period.

![]() Jabba The Hull saying that guys shouldn't be allowed to wear visors unless they've had a serious eye injury in the past. Hey moron, visors are there to prevent serious eye injuries from happening in the first place.
Ask your former teammate if he wishes he'd had a shield on when this happened, jackass. |
