one of the HORSE tournaments. I am hoping to make a little cash in ring games prior to entering so it will esentially be a freeroll

Speaking of ESPN. I was watching the 2004 stud event the other night. Men the Master has like 8 empty Coronas next to him, and drinking during the event..thats something you dont see on the slick WPT broadcasts

Omaha H/L and Stud H/L are my specialties as of late. Pretty much all we have been playing outside of the casinos. I might just end up switching to an Omaha event once I et there.

I will. There are about 17 of us going out from my poker group. I actually think my wife has the best shot of cashing out of anyone.

If anyone is going to be out there during June you should check out Binions also a mini WSOP if you will.

I played in a couple of the rooms/tournaments he played in up north. Dont know if I ever played with him. When I watched him lose to Gold in last years WSOP, I thought it was pretty weak, but he's got some skills. (what do I know Ive never been in that situation) I think he played way to tight on HSP, but then again Ive never played 300-600 NLHE

Hey AK,
Hope you havent left yet but There is a good tourney going on all month of June at the Venetian. 6/5/07 HORSE event $330 buy in and start with 6000 chip count. Seems they have great starting chips and superb blind structure. I think i need to sneak away. When are you there AK?

I guess you dont like the Phil but 11 bracelets is sweet. I would like to see him expand his game to include one not from NL. On a good note Alan Cunningham won his 5th. Nice guy and finally getting the due exposure he deserved. But face it, Phil is more fun on TV.

Well..Heres somewhat of a trip report... If you are a poker enthusiast, you have to go out to Vegas during the WSOP. The games are juicy, and well somethings just get damned wierd. I ended up not playing in an event, but I might go out for the ME )

Friday night playing 1-2 NLHE at the IP (dont know why I love this place so much) end up losing two monster pots one with Q-J to a flop of Q-J-2
guy turns over 2s. Two hands later, same guy..I have K-2 on the BB. Flop comes J-2-2 He turns over A-2 So we stay out the rest of the night getting wrecked. Let me tell you, the IP is a dump, but its really easy to get everything comped there. Me and some guy at the table almost get kicked out as we are betting on people walking by the room, doing push ups etc

Saturday we head over to the Rio. The place is a mad house. They run like 5 different tournaments at once.

(photo from the Amazon Ballroom)
We got to watch Alan Cunninghams win live. Its wierd, because all of the ESPN events have audiences, and lots of cheering, etc.
When Phil won his braclet, they had them behind of curtain and have slight delay simulcast (with hole cards) through out the hotel. (not sure what this is all about.)

Heres my wife playing in the womens event. They dont allow flash photography in there, and my camera sucks

So Saturday night we go over the Wynn. The spread a 1-3 NLHE game there with $3 dollar chips. My advice for poker players..dont drink alot of Grey Goose when you are playing...I ended up mucking a flush and losing a pretty big pot. Anyway, couple days later, I want to see if I can piss more money away and decided to up the stakes... I play 10-20 limit at the Wynn..
5 hands in I flop a ROYAL FLUSH!!! I about **** myself. needless to say it was a VERY large pot, with the other guy floping a lower straight flush.

anyways...thats it for now..wish I could have had a cash story in the WSOP..

Johnny Chan.

nice story but i thought you put money in to play the HORSE event. Was your wife the one with the gray hair? Your K 2 with the Ace 2 story had it happened to me this weekend with 2 5 in the BB. Lucky for my all in a 7 paired the board for a chopped full house. I ended up winning that little tournament. IP is where Dead people are found under the mattress. It is true and dont tell me it is some wives tale. Sounds like you had some serious fun. My neighbor and I are looking to head out there before the WSOP is over.

I did, but the pre registration was a mess, so I finally gave up on fighting Harrahs. They found my money on Sunday and I got refunded. The Red head is my wife
