Wow, great ending to that game. Even if the freaking Ducks had a golden gift for that previous game, they earned it tonight. The Red Wings looked like a shell for the first 40 minutes tonight.
Congrats Calijohn, but I'll be rooting for the Sens! |

Ya gotta root for a team who had such humble beginnings back in its inception. Man I'll never forget their first few squads and how bad they got beat down... Props to them!
Although, I'm sure the NHL isnt thrilled about the team with the smallest market in Canada in the main event. I guess we are done seeing Bryzgalov in goal for the Ducks for sure eh? |

Unless Giguere can continue to stand on his head, Ottawa will throttle the Ducks.

I'm rooting for Ottawa as well; mostly for my dislike of Brian Burke.

Dang you beat me too it. I had the identical post in mind... Wonder where The Beast ends up next? He did add a new dimension of ugly to those red jammies but somehow I doubt they keep him around. And 257 year old Flopinator can go with him. |

Ottawa have the top 3 scorers this postseason so it better be another Giggy like playoff series. The PP was horrible this last series. Hats off to the Wings on finding a way to clobber the Ducks on this but as the Yankees said to the Bad News Bears, "We still think you suck!" NOTE: Talking smack on the fact we like to knock out the WIngs every playoff series. ILL BE COMING BACK FROM LHC AND LAUGHLIN ON MONDAY SO I WILL LOOK AT WEDNESDAY NIGHT GAME #2. IT IS HARDER TO SNEAK IN NOW WITH THEIR SCANNERS ON THE TICKET TO REENTRY. DOESNT MEAN I WON'T TRY TO GATE CRASH THOUGH. Last edited by broncocalijohn; 05-23-2007 at 02:45 AM.. |

Nice series. Still stinging over game 5 but hey, given where the Wings were picked to finish this year, it was still a solid year. Let's go Sens, i guess. Congrats to the Ducks, they're the better team in the WEst.

Yep, moen even let go of his stick while chelios skated ahead (it looked like he had a spear in his back) but mr ref still made the call (pretty sad) IMO i really don't care how long chelios has been playing it was a cheap move to gain an advantage (iam glad it failed) Last edited by Bronx33; 05-23-2007 at 03:44 PM.. |

After Pavel Datsyuk's second power-play goal made it 4-3 with 3:04 left, what had looked like a laugher was a nail-biter. "A nightmare," Ducks forward Teemu Selanne called it. Selanne and Pronger ripped the refs for calls in the third period, when the Ducks were penalized three times, the Red Wings none. Said Selanne, "When you have to beat the referees, too, it's tough." Added Pronger, "When we're getting penalty after penalty on pretty weak calls, a lot of guys were talking about conspiracy theories." |

Tickets go on sale 10am Saturday for home games at Anaheim. Check out ticketmaster.com and mightyducks.com (yes, you can use the old name to get to the site). I want to see Pez and SoCal there. Mini Bronco might make his first game if he gets tickets.

Think Basillie will drag one of those Southern US hockey teams (you know pioneered by Mike Modano) back across the border to the north?
