Well, either i am playing with some great players here as i am near the bottom or I am running into bad luck (first tourney) and starting late (tourney 2). Just did a live tourney locally for a charity for Katrina at $100 a pop and came in 2nd out of 70 people. Got $250 stay at the Mandalay Bay, hat and we had bounties at each table. I was one and protected my all in and took out 2 all in bounties for 5 lotto tixs each time) That netted $24. Top 3 got into the 4th of July tourney for free ($60 worth) so my $100 tax donation actually got me some profit too. Now if i can transfer that game into the poker league game, I might have a chance!

Not sure if this will fly. Im playing in a live tourney this afternoon (WSOP qualifier) so not sure if I will be done. (might bring my laptop and check in if I get knocked out) Im thinking we might need to pospone the OM Poker thing until the fall. Seems like its pretty hard to get everyone together.
The only other thing would be to start playing on Party or something. I know they have private tourneys on the fly where we could just get a room going on the fly. Thoughts? |

Party is fine with private. I dont play there anymore but seems all right... if we get enough. Might have to wait until on season. BTW: Last friday took down a 8 man sit n go for $10 each and right after 12 man tourney for $20 each. Missed money on 13 man by popping 4th place. Netted about $160 profit. Of course that doesnt mean squat playing you guys at full tilt.

Oh yeah, well I followed that friday with last friday poker night at a neigbor's house with a $1 and $2 limit. 8 players payed $40 entry and I took $160 of the $320 total in pot! I broke soooo many at this low limit that it surprised me big time. Warming up for the 4th of July tourney where I came in 2nd in March. Got to do better than the 34th place finish last year.

Maybe your wife should take your spot next time we do a tourney! Played again with the same yahoos from two weeks ago. Had Q J suited spades and flop comes 2 Q 7 with two spades. Dude goes all in and I call (he has me covered). Moron has 2 5 . No more spades and a fing 5 comes on river. He verified that dueces have been lucky that day. Next tourney buy in $20 with 9 players. Have huge chip lead heads up. I win small pots but lose two all ins. I have a hand of K 10 suited and decide to just call small blind to catch mr . bluffer what he will do. Sure enough he goes all in. I then decide after a minute that i need to call like i planned if he pulled that crap preflop. He has 2 7 ! Got em except when a f ing duece comes on the flop. It was a theme. Draw the duece to F john. Best hand though: 7 players left. I am first to act with A K. I raise from 12 to 35. Next guy goes all in, next guy calls (all in) and then next guy goes all in also. Now i know some of these guys arent very smart but 3 of them betting over me. I fold the hand and show. Before the others flip over, they cant believe I folded it. Here were the hands in order. 2 2 (yes he went over the top with this hand!), A K suited, A J . I knew i was sharing at least the ace with one of the hands. I did the right thing and made those naysayers look pretty bad when the dueces held up.

Are we gonna get this going again or is there just not enough interest? And while I'm here...

I would be interested if it was Sunday night again.
How would we play now that there is no gambling for $ in US anymore online? |

FullTilt and Bodog are still excepting US players. I have about 400 at each site. I play poker mainly at FT and use bodog for football betting. Hopefully they keep defying this ridiculous nonsense.
