I've looked at the different kits online for home brew, are there any items that you think could be acquired from a different source? Such as I know how I can make a wort chiller with some simple supplies from the hardware store.

Budweiser good, Molson good. Stay away from the really dark malt stuff, it tastes like crap. Hops is good but only if its halfway clear.
Also recommend Red Bull and Magnum. But only if you're around people you like ![]() |

Just wanted to add, because I drank a bunch tonight (and at the Broncos/Cardinals tailgate), that Coors Light goes down like water. I can consume so much of that stuff compared to a lot of other beers and still feel "O.K."...it's weird. I'm not saying that that's a good or bad thing...just saying.

In my pre war days I was all about my Miller Lite (FIGHT THE GHT'S) But after a short 10 days in germany I became all about weisens. And then I came back and I like Grolsch, Coors Original isn't bad, Still a Miller Lite guy(gotta support my malting barley) Leinenkugels HoneyWeiss tap, Killians Irish Red and St Pauli Girl.

I drank Leine s four years ago in Wisconsin and thought it was a good but not great regional beer. This last June, I went back and had some of the other types of Leines like the Wheat. Very good beer. Not sure if they have made a better beer in the last three years but I am a fan. |

I used to buy Dos Equis Amber all the time in the 90s (they called it "Dark" then). It is great.
I tried Pyramid brand Hefeweisen, but it had a bite - a kind of bitter aftertaste. I went back to Widmer, and I am very happy - ALL HEFEWEISENS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL! I might try Boulevard though if I see it ksBfan. |

I think I practically emptied out one of the Bud Light beer tents at the Cardinals game by myself. My girlfriend and I went up and got a beer each (wouldn't let us take more than one each - terrible rule!). But then she wanted food, so she got in line and I stayed at the beer tent. Drank one of the big ones by myself in those 5 minutes, and by the time she got back, I had bought a new one to replace it. Got back to our seats, another Champ INT, game on!!

The Widmer Brothers if the best Hefeweisen I've ever tried. It's my favorite. Look out for that boulevard though. It's the only hefeweizen on tap back in my home town in South Dakota, and it tastes really watered down after getting a taste for a true widmer hefey. |

I'm pretty tipsy tonight after drinking a bunch of Tecate. Not the greatest beer in the world, but a heck of a lot better than Bud Light, Miller Lite, or Coors Lite! And almost as cheap too!

O.K. I'm gonna change "a bunch of Tecate" to "16 Tecate's." I'm feeling mighty good! Too bad I have to get up at 5:30 AM and go to work.

OK the new Porter of the day was "
Arcadia Ales ' London Porter. About 7.50 for price. Nice brew but nothing special. Was more brown that black and armora was nice but not special. I was expecting something better with the label touting 2003 Gold Medal at the World Championships. OK better to try if your looking for something new. ![]() |

I don't know how many beer threads there are in here right now (Caution: Consumption of beer could lead to short-term memory loss), but this place I went to yesterday is so incredible I have to post it again:They have dozens and dozens and DOZENS of varieties in numerous glass-case fridges on display like wines. Long list of on tap, and bottle: http://www.uberbier.com/bottles.php They even named one after me: |
