Say you're throwing a SB PARTY...and one of the teams is, for example purposes only, the Green Bay Packers...what Foods would you serve to represent that team?
Green Bay = "CHEESEHEADS" = Cheesecake! Let's see what we can come up with?? Cappuccino Walnut Cheesecake 1 cup finely chopped walnuts 1 cup granulated sugar 3 T. butter, melted 32 oz. cream cheese, softened 2 T. all-purpose flour 4 eggs ¼ cup sour cream ¼ tsp. cinnamon ½ cup strongly brewed espresso 1 tsp. instant coffee Topping For Cheesecake 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/3 cup heavy cream ¼ cup espresso 1 T. cocoa powder 1 T. cinnamon Sugar to taste. PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine walnuts, 2 T. sugar and butter In small bowl and mix well. Pour into 9-inch spring form pan and press onto bottom. Set Aside. 3. In a food processor combine cream cheese And the rest of the cup of sugar. Mix until Light and fluffy and completely combined. 4. Add flour and eggs, one at a time. 5. Add sour cream and cinnamon. 6. Dissolve instant coffee into the espresso, Then add to cream cheese mixture. 7. Pour into the pan and bake for approximately 1 hour (some ovens may require an extra 10-15 Minutes. Shake gently to test. Cake will be firm When done. Top will be lightly browned. Cool Completely. Topping: 1. Heat all ingredients and stir until melted. 2. Drizzle over cooled cheesecake. 3. Chill cheesecake before serving. |

At the Playoff game last year NE at Denver we had Lobsters....
Or, NE could equal Clam Chowder or baked beans, too. Cardinals or Seahawks = Fried Chicken Dolphins = Tuna Fish (ok, maybe not...ha!) I'll have to do more chicken |

Gotta be crabcakes for Baltimore, unless you really ARE into eating crow. I will try and get a local recipe up sometime in the near future, although with my record at cooking its probably best if you look somewhere else for it and pay me no mind.

What we are making for opening weekend in Buffalo:
INGREDIENTS: 4 pounds chicken wings salt and pepper oil for deep frying 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce 1 tablespoon white vinegar PREPARATION: Instructions for Buffalo wings. Sprinkle chicken wings with salt and pepper. Heat oil in deep fryer to 370°. Fry wings in batches until crispy and cooked, about 10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain; In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in hot sauce and vinegar. Pour over wings and toss to coat wings thoroughly. Serve Buffalo wings with the Blue Cheese Dip. Blue Cheese Dip 3/4 cup mayonnaise 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley 1/2 cup sour cream 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese salt and pepper Combine all ingredients; chill for an hour or two. Serve as a dip for the Buffalo wings. Makes about 1 1/2 cups of blue cheese dip. |

For Philly you'd have to do Cheese Steaks.
Find an understanding butcher to thinly slice up some rib eye Throw it on a flat top griddle, shredding it with 2 ,metal spatulas until there's no pink left. Fry up some onions (optional) I personally don't like them. Throw a Jar of Cheese Whiz in the microwave. Get the best italian sandwich rolls you can find (most parts of the US this is going to be the hard part) and toast them up on same grill over meat. Slap some of the cooked meat onto a roll with some whiz. Serve ketchup, hot and sweet peppers, on the side;. |
