I remember the debate too and the election and how happy my mom was that the young Kennedy had won.

My mothers beehive hairdo and how pretty I thought it was and trying to rat my hair to look like it.

Those moon boots sucked! one ounce of moister inside and you were walking in frozen mush. You became sponge Bob soggy-frozen toes! better to just go bare foot at times.

My wife had made her own Jackson fan scrap book with press clippings and all back then. I ran across it again a few months ago in with all the old year books and stuff while we were moving. Funny stuff. I got in some good jabs.

She got me back with some of my old KISS army stuff in my folks attic. lol

i forgot we had one of those big attic fans for the longest time before we got central air and heat. (we had wood burning stove growing up for the winter times)

couldn't find a pic to help visualize it but we had a cable box that you had to manually flip the channels

I know! I've been walking around gloating for 2 weeks now. Two poles, 2 wins. Brandon Bernstein ( my top fuel driver ) has also won 2 in a row. My motor sports viewing is paying off this year, so far.

I think the sports gods are feeling bad for me about the Avs missing out by one freaking point, so they're helping me out in other categories.

We still heat our house with a wood burning stove. It's a real pain in the ass. I always swore I'd never have a wood stove of my own, that didn't turn out as planned.

And no one had color TVs

Johnny Carson had the daytime game show

The attic fans aren't bad now. They save on electicity when it isn't too hot out. I think.

My Uncle had an aluminum Christmas tree with one of those color wheels that would spin and change the color of the tree.
