Isn't it funny how the young men in question were guilty until found innocent because everyone was so quick to form an opinion of them without facts?

Yet we'll do the same thing about the attorneys and the woman.

I heard the Defense Lawyer speaking today and he said one of the reasons they were having a hard time bringing charges against the woman is not only did her story change so much, but they are of the opinion she believed all of them. It is possible she is simply mentally ill.

The second thing was if she is charged, then everyone involved goes back to court again and at this point the young men and their families aren't real keen to keep pursuing this thing. They more or less want it over.

I'm not sure how you sue the state over this? I mean it stands to reason the system makes mistakes all the time. Why wouldn't everyone who goes to trial and receives a not guilty verdict not go after the system for false persecution?

I know we have a couple of lawyers in here. Maybe the parents can pursue a civil case against the Prosecutor, but I'm not sure about that let alone going after the state?

Stick to the topic or Stand down ........... only an idiot would compare this to a Murder case , and yes as far as I am concerned it went from DUI to murder , at the very least Man Slaughter ...........

Agree 110% Dman. You knowingly and willingly take substances that will impair your judgement, that is YOUR problem and if you commit a crime as a result (and filing false police reports is a crime) that is ALSO YOUR PROBLEM.

A crime is a crime. Filing a false police report because you are impaired is just as much a crime as commiting murder while being impaired.

I would go with the line of , Nifong willing withheld evidence that would have a direct outcome on the trial , he was working for the state while doing this , the state failed to provide oversite for a fair trail for these young men ... may not hold up i na criminal court , but you have a shot in civil court

I don't really care about her and jail, and you can't draw blood from a turnip.

A law expert was on and said in certain circumstances a prosecutor who acted in malice and with prejudice could be sued, but it was extreemely rare. He said absolutely the state could be sued.
