Good thread ...
"Hey Arnold, do you drink 1% or whole milk to keep in shape?" - "Milk is for babbeez, men drink be-ah!" The best way to sample is to "Build your own six pack" - it is $7 and you can mix and match any of the import beers. I've tried almost every beer mentioned on this site, from doing that. Hy-Vee offers it and I noticed it at Super Target now. Not sure if it is available for everyone. My favorites: (1) Mexican beers - Pacifico, Negra Modelo, Dos XX, Tecate (not huge on Corona or Sol) (2) English - Newcastle (one of the best ever), Bass (3) German - PaulLaner, Warsteiner, Binding (4) Other imports: Carlsberg (Denmark), Grolsh Amber Ale (excellent), Stienlager (New Zealand), Harps, Tsing Tao, Molson Amber Ale (5) American - Emperian (from Lincoln NE, hard to find but highly recommended) - Shiner Bock, Sierra Nevada Pale I'm sure I missed a few: Didn't care for the Blue Moon, but I need to try it with the Orange - it must be good. |

I always have a Negra Modelo when I go out for Mexican, another good call. Newcastle used to be a favorite of mine, but for some reason I turned sour on it. Something about the after taste does not sit right with me.

If anyone has moved and can no longer get the beer they like, this place might have it.

Decandent Imperial Ale from Ska Brewing Co in Durango is my "at the moment" favorit beer. Can only be found is 22oz bottles and has a 10% alchohol content, but not that bitter bite found with most potent beers.

I live in a town with 75k people and 5 breweries! haha, I think they love the beer here!
I'm not a beer drinker. But, a lot of the people around here love the beer from Deschutes Brewery and they love their Mirror Pond. I can't give any info on the tastes, though. I'd rather have the liquor. ![]() |

For those in the Denver area check out the Yard House in Lakewood for the largest selection of draft beer in the world.

I don't drink as much beer as I used to. Always like to try something different. I have a personal grudge against A. Busch so I don't buy any of their products including Pete's.
Not much for Porter or Stout. Tend toward reds and pale ales. Like to support the local guys so I buy quite a bit of ODells, New Belgium, Avery and of course Buffalo Gold for CU games. If I am having folk over who will drink a bunch, I usually buy Killians and/or Coors/ Miller Lite |

Favorites:
New Belgium's 1554 and 2 Below Great Divide's Yeti Imperial Stout Guinness & Smithwicks - if you've never tried the Yeti, please do. It's expensive (4pk for $10) but it's oh so very delicious. |

Good God people you've missed the nectar of the Gods.
Delirium Tremens-Huyghe Brewery, Belgium Delirium Nocturnum- Huyghe Brewery, Belgium Moose Drool-Big Sky Brewing, MT Slow Elk-Big Sky Brewing, MT And any Chimay Quite honestly though, if you have the means and opportunity I highly recommend Delirium Tremens. It's brewed in the trappist style. It's absolutely the best beer I've ever had....with the possible exception of their Nocturnum (dark). I'm going to get me some tonight, they usually run $10/bottle in the bar. $5 or so retail. Get you some, it's well worth it. |

Actually at one time we in Pueblo all used to drink Walters, until they
closed the brewery down back in the 70's. It was local and cheap. probably wasn't all that great a beer, but people were more willing to support the local economy in those days. |

I don't always drink quantity...but I always drink quality. **** beer like Bud and Miller gets no play for me. If you want to drink go for it. I usally drink something that is at 9 percent...so that's like two budweisers in terms of alcohol content.
