Apparently picking up the exact player that's going to solidify a position (or two or three) is eminently do -able in your scenarios. Yeah, it happens all the time doesn't it? Teams get exactly the guys to fill their every need season in and season out. It's not difficult at all to believe Brodie Croyle will be your starter. Probably won't find many posts which say he won't. BTW in 2005 the Chiefs paid Hicks about 1.1 Mil per sack. So let's not over worry any Bronco contracts, mmmkay? |

I will be he first to agree Hicks is overpaid. I'm pretty sure you will find his ass on the street this year. |

No matter how you cut it its a great move and one that the Chiefs had to make. Herm is an idiot no doubt but you cannot fault the logic that they need the skills Gonzo has as well as his team leadership especially as they move to a new QB.
Broncos would love to have a guy of his talent, leadership, and citizenship. Carl did the right thing. |

This move could go either way IMO on one hand KC fans could get to watch their great TE skills slide year after year getting booed or he could play consistantly and serve as a team moral/fan booster. (could go either way) but i will say the KC fans have already showed their colors by leaving early and booing such players as trint (whom has already been kicked to the curb).

And for the record, Denver has no shortage of quality leaders and citzens, and we have a younger and more talented TE by the name of Scheffler. |

I disagree. Scheffler was one of the most physically gifted TEs to come out in quite some time. Only Vernon Davis was more athletic in recent years. All that remains to be seen is if Scheffler puts it together on the field, but all signs point to yes.

Faster does not mean more talented. I doubt Scheffler ever becomes the complete package that Tony Gonzalez is.

Judging by their rookie seasons, Scheffler could easily become better. Scheffler brings more speed, agility and big play ability to the table than Gonzo does, and his hands and blocking are at least as goods.

His blocking as good? Wow. I'm sure Scheffler will turn out just fine but to say his blocking is as good is rediculous.
