Cheifs just blew the biggest TE contracts out of the water. Hell, Gonzalez would be overpaid as a WR with his recent numbers. A front loaded deal doesn't make up for it either, it just reduces flexability the team could have had these first three years to save having to pay him a little extra when cutting his last two.

But hey, like the cheifs fans said, they're cutting all sorts of guys, so that'll free up tons of money. I'm sure Peterson will do a bang up job finding cheaper, better replacements at those positions, just like he's done his whole career.

Beat me to it.

It's amazing how someone that clueless drops by, calls others 'idiots,' then makes the same point.

By the time KC rebuild their O Line, find receivers and a QB, Gonzo's 3 years will be up.

We already have that QB. His name is Brodie Croyle.

And you want to know how easy it will be for us to fix the O-line and find a #1 WR?

Draft a guy like OT Levi Brown in the first round.
Draft a WR such as Robert Meachem or Dwayne Bowe in the second round.
Sign an OG like Eric Steinbach, Derrick Dockery, or Kris Dielman in free agency.

With those three moves we would have an elite WR prospect and a much improved offensive line.

Plus, it's not like Denver has the offensive line to brag about anymore either.

No wonder Cwazy always feels compelled to jump in when his fellow fans decide to post. Even though his comments on Champ are ridiculous in themself. Limited success? Well, Bailey tried to match the production of Surtain. Some things are just too hard for him. Especially since it was Nick Ferguson's assignment to be on the tight ends until he was injured. Wouldn't want any facts to get in your way, though. Don't worry about Champ's contract. When the time comes it will be renegotiated. It does give you something to keep harping on in the meantime. Chef fans always whistling in the dark. Shaky and off key.

Now get busy and give Eddie mo money. He need it. bee'lee dat.

I think the Chiefs fans support for this move has more to do with keeping a potential hall of famer with the team for his whole career than it does regarding the strength of the team.

No doubt and that's okay by me. It also says Tony is willing to give up the Championships for the money, and that's okay too.

I'm sure the SPECTACULAR pass-catching ability Tony showed last week contributed to this reward...

Actually we're very young and talented on the line, so as usual you don't know what you're talking about. Even if this comment was true, you realize we draft ahead of you.

So your backups are very young and talented? That is yet to be determined. Just like every Chiefs fan thinks OG Tre' Stallings and C Rudy Niswanger are going to develop into solid starters, Broncos fans think the same thing about Greg Eslinger and Chris Kuper. Who knows in both cases. The Chiefs have some young talent of there own on the O-line but it is yet to be seen how that talent will develop. I hope for the best, but I still think we need some help in this years draft.

You should really make a move to be the Chiefs new GM. You be an undeniable asset to that team. I mean come on, do you know how many people in Missouri don't know that 30 comes after 29?

This would make a great campaign picture right here.

How am I making a fool of myself? Maybe the "30 after 29" comment was a little dumb. Ok, you got me there. But am I supposed to just agree when Broncos fans think we will never ever add any more talent and that we will be a 4-12 team for the rest of our existence? It's absurd. You guys keep saying crap about us having nobody at wide receiver and on the offensive line. Well guys, I could say the exact same thing about the Broncos at safety and on the defensive line. However, do I think that will last forever? No, I don't. I'm pretty damn sure the Broncos will find a way to get younger at safety and to improve a pathetic defensive line. They will get better in these areas through the draft and maybe through free agency. So why is it so difficult to think the Chiefs can improve at wide receiver and on the offensive line this year? Why is it so difficult to think that Brodie Croyle is our starter at QB at least by 2008?

Just an FYI, we have 1 pro bowler at safety and I'm pretty sure our D-line produced more sacks than your D-line did.

Yes you have 1 pro bowler at safety. One pro bowler at safety by the name of John Lynch who is over the hill and made the pro bowl on name recognition alone (same can probably be said for Will Shields). Your D-line as a whole (including the backups) may have had more sacks but not the starters. I will take our young DE tandem of Hali/Allen over your DE's anyday. The only player from your D-line that I would like to have on our team is Gerrard Warren and he isn't even all that great.

John Lynch does exactly what we need him to and his hardly ever caught out of position. Even with his age, I'd take him over every single one of your safeties.

On the D-line, We got better production from a 4th rounder than you did with a 1st rounder. Our D-line also comes alot cheaper.

That's fine. And I will take up and coming star Jarrad Page over John Lynch every day. I will take hard hitting Bernard Pollard over John Lynch every day.

You got better production from a 4th rounder? Maybe he had .5 more sacks but you didn't get more production. Dumervil was a situational player. Tamba Hali was an every down player and was a force against the run as well. Dumervil also doesn't come close to matching the 5 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception that Hali had.

And no, your D-line is not alot cheaper. The large contract you guys gave to the overpaid Gerrard Warren instantly made him higher paid than anybody on our defensive line.
