Thats what a few people have told me. Heres the list so far Cadillatic converter Oil ![]() Computer running wrong fuel/air mixture The first couple of days it was blowing excess exhaust kind of like a disel but thats stopped just the fowel odor now. I guess I'll just drive it as little as possible until I can get it hooked up to the computer. The guy at the shop said he would not worry to much unless the "check engine" light comes on. I think thats easy to say when its not your truck. Maybe I have a mouse stuck in the exhaust pipe ![]() |

ok, not the problem I was thinking of though
since your truck was blowing out excessive smoke, that appears to be something with the fuel mix if you ask me.....but again, I'm not a mechanic ![]() if your check engine light was on, I'd say you were in trouble with that problem, but it doesn't seem like that go to autozone and by some fuel system cleaner until you can get to the shop |

rotten egg smell could simply be from the type of fuel you're buying... supposedly some gasoline brands have an organic sulfur compound in them that causes that smell, or so I've been told.

See Im starting to highly suspect gas for 2 reasons. 1. The truck is actually running as good as ever 2. The wife gased up last at a place here in town I've never gone to. Just another reason why she should stop driving my truck Hell her truck is nicer then mine. |
