Today brought about five inches of new snow... enough to require some shoveling of the walkways. We're supposed to get a break from the snow tomorrow, but more is predicted for tomorrow night/Christmas Day. Temps today were in the 20s.

We have a hit or miss chance of a "dusting" rain/snow flurries...but this is first NO SNOW ...so far...we've had in five years at Christmas.

The weather's been kinda strange this year... it's certainly not typical for us to have more snow than you do in ND. Until about a week ago, it looked like we might not have a white Christmas either.

Bone dry here in NW Iowa...Chicago got a storm, Denver got a storm, KC got a storm.

We had a nice heavy wet snow for the soil early but it's long melted. They were yelling ice storm but it never got cold enough....I'm tempting fate...I'm sure I will get my fair measure if not more...you just never know.

Any meltdown yet? I plan on getting down there later in the week and I'm wondering is the mess melting down much and how much digging will be waiting for me? I heard there could be another storm heading that way on Thursday.

I live in Fort Collins, and I just got around to digging my car out today (snow was still up the doorhandles). By all accounts Denver got it worse than us, but all the main roads in the front range should be passable to pretty much any vehicle. There is a another storm that's supposed to hit Thursday and drop between four and fifteen inches.

Meck, I trekked from Aurora over to Columbine/Littleton via C470 today. Interstates & major streets are clear, but I had to watch it when I was driving in the far right lane or merging onto another highway... sometimes the drifts alongside the edges of the road weren't completely cleared. Side streets are still rather messy, both in Aurora and Littleton. I have a 4WH Audi (love 4-wheel this time of year!!) and although it's low and in places I was plowing through slush, I didn't have any problems.

I must be a sick b*st*rd because somewhere deep inside I am hoping for more snow days.

Another upslope predicted for Thursday/Friday. 90% chance of snow on thursday, 80% on Friday. The low is modeled to set up in northern New Mexico/panhandle area again - another classic upslope, which means another butt-kicker.

Yup, walking to work up 30th, a MAIN ROAD here in boulder and I was skating on the sidewalk in my sneakers... took me twice as long. And it's coming again, enjoy snow free tomorrow!!!

It's been a week, time to pummel us again!

Yep its rolling in here now. Looks to be potentially another nasty bugger. Looks like the SW is gonna get it harder this go round then last. Freaking snow I have tickets to the 9ers game. Hopefully the low is not as strong and this one moves out by Friday afternoon. Doubtful but I'm still hoping.
