You are kidding yourself if you think Iverson is willing to give up shots to come off of the bench, like Terry happily volunteered to do in his first season with Dallas. Iverson doesnt even have the integrity to take practice seriously. What makes you think that he's going to make decisions that hurt his legacy (ppg average) for the betterment of the career of Carmelo Anthony?

Iverson has never been a team player. Not even on the US natl. team. He wont take a backseat to anyone. He thinks that he's Micheal Jordan, but he doesnt understand that MJ was a winner and Iverson is a career .500 player.
Practice, practice, practice. Bill Russell NEVER practiced and he won more NBA championships than any player in the history of the game. He HATED practice so he didn't do it. So lets let that rest, okay?

And keep thinking what you will about Iverson, we are soon to find out why type of mentality he has on the basketball court.

The Nuggets have called a press conference for 3:30 P.M. MST.

Should be carried live on 950 The Fan.

You might be soon to find out, but I did a long time ago. We know what to expect. I wonder what Anthony expects. Probably to take the back seat.

Isn't that alot for an aging player? How long before AI of Melo start b****ing about shots? I think it s a good trade for philly. The thug meter in Denver is sky high now and Denver is near the top now.

Llama, is you think this is such a bad match, why do you care so much? It seems to me that if you think this is a bad trade for a young WC team, that you'd be saying "Cool, one less team to contend with". Seems to me like you are not addressing the fact that Melo, AI and JR could be lethal together. every championship team has had at least 2 guys that commanded the ball and that could take over a game. AI get to play along side the first superstar of his career.

Llama doesn't like anything that doesn't involve Mavs or the guy on the poster in his room(DIRK N).

My cat, named after Miller, is sad. That said, we'll both be fine when Iverson leads us past the first round this year. I'm amped. I wish Dre nothing but the best (and still need to get a 3rd jersey with the #24 Miller on the back), but we had to do the deal.

BTW, those of you that haven't been posting on the board with the "insider" have NO idea how big of a steal we almost got. The three-way deal that was going to go down was unbelievably sick.

The 3 way we had going was no starters. Joe Smith, Najera, Boykins, 1st round. There were a few other variations including Nene as well.

Yea, but who were the teams involved? What were the scenarios?

Supposedly it was Chicago but that was never confirmed 100% although over on realGM Philly had a source confirm it was Chicago who also called the trade today. All that was said is that a team got involved and then pulled out last minute. I am not sure on all involved except what I posted as things went from that 3 way deal to quiet over the weekend to the trade today. Again I know the Nuggets wanted to keep as much as they could and not sell the house so I think the trade we got today was much better.

The 76ers got bent over in that deal. Since they acquired a vet who can actually play, they are no longer going to be the worst team in the league. You guys are going to end up with 5-8th pick, no salary cap space, and two late first round picks that equal out to be early second round picks.

Also we weren't supposed to share that 3 way as it could fall through and the trade could change. As it did I shared it, Nuggets4 if I misread what was said let me know and it will be gone.
