Okay, here's the interesting question. Who gets the shots?

Anyone familiar with the NBA knows that Iverson is an unapologetic volume shooter, who has a high usage rate (5th in the NBA) - meaning he has to have the ball in his hands most of the time, and he ends up shooting much of that time. For instance, Iverson shot the ball 24.4 times a game while in Philly this season. He made 10 of those for .413%, which isnt a good %. Now, the Sixers shot the ball 78.0 times a game. That means that Iverson took roughly 1/3 of the sum total shots of the entire team.

Carmelo Anthony shoots the ball 24 times a game as well. Denver shoots about 86 shots a game.

The Nuggets surely cant survive with those two guys taking a combined 48/86 shots a game, well over 50 % of the total. That would mean that Camby and JR Smith's shots would be reduced as well. I dont know if both of those players would be alright with taking 3-5 less shots a game.

It's not going to matter to Camby at all. He's not concerned with scoring at this point of his career, although last night proved he can still get his if he needs to.

How did Jet Terry handle going from over 20 a game with the Hawks to playing with Dirk and Howard? And that guy isn't even a pass first PG.

Frankly, it wil lbe interesting to watch how this all pans out. If the Nuggets get a bit further in the playoffs, then it would have been worth it. But the way to build the team is through the draft. Maybe the new GM has a different idea....

Huge pick up for the Nuggets, the Northwest is now theirs to win. The Jazz dont have anyone that can defend Iverson, maybe in a couple of years with Sloan teaching D-will, but not now.

Great pick up for you Nugg's fans, it will be interesting to see how the #1 & #2 league scoring leaders develop chemistry.

BTW, no way does that 3 way trade go down with Utah and Boston Clockwork. You really think the Jazz would have given up Boozer for Wally, that trade held no weight with the Jazz front ofice.

Jason Terry dreamed of playing with a contender, and specifically with Dallas. Comparing the two is pointless because Terry has a completely different mindset about basketball. You are kidding yourself if you think Iverson is willing to give up shots to come off of the bench, like Terry happily volunteered to do in his first season with Dallas. Iverson doesnt even have the integrity to take practice seriously. What makes you think that he's going to make decisions that hurt his legacy (ppg average) for the betterment of the career of Carmelo Anthony?

Iverson has never been a team player. Not even on the US natl. team. He wont take a backseat to anyone. He thinks that he's Micheal Jordan, but he doesnt understand that MJ was a winner and Iverson is a career .500 player.
