Isiah Thomas is the trickiest call of the bunch, and a lot will depend on what he tells Jackson -- and what Anthony tells Jackson -- over the phone. Anthony says Thomas, who was angry that the Nuggets were still playing four starters despite being up 19 with under 2 minutes left, told him a minute or so before the brawl that he should stay out of the paint -- pretty much a warning that a hard foul was coming. That would make Thomas culpable for helping incite the brawl, and instigators never get off lightly with Stu and his boss, David Stern. Prediction: 3 games.

Isiah Thomas is an idiot. Earlier in the game he's whining about the number of fouls. Like they are supposed to be 50/50 instead of called as happened. Then he decided Karl can't have his starters on the floor (Even though the Nuggets lost in a big comeback to the Knicks earlier this season I guess they are to be afforded the same opportunity by putting in the scrubs). Then he verbally warns a Denver player - Don't go into the paint.

There is something seriously wrong with that guy. Of course everyone wants this to be about Melo's punch. Let's all make sure Melo takes responsibility.
It was a stupid thing to do and he'll pay the price.

Too bad that won't extend to a coach whose judgement is unbelievably impaired.

Trust me, I know Isiah Thomas is an idiot, that foul should have never happened.

It does not however, make light, the punch by Anthony. Seriously, what does he say to those kids he just opened up that rec center for? If somone fouls you in here it's ok to sucker punch them, it's ok to act like a thug in here? His actions spoke much louder then any apology he gave or will give. I just hope Stern thinks about that when he decides how many games Mello will serve.

Ah, so you know the bigot and racist known as Tensi personally and can attest to his character. Should have known once you started defending him.

Melo just opened up a youth center, what is he teaching those kids, that it's ok to act like a thug? I hope Stern lays the law down on his punk ass.
15 games for him. Maybe we can get a real role model in here like Iverson now.

Yup...Melo gets 15. JR and Nate Robinson each get 10. Both teams are fined 500K.

Stern is the worst thing ever to happen to the NBA.

Every single suspension was too much, and some of those guys probably shouldnt have been suspended. Sorry, Nuggets fans. You got the shaft.

I generally like Stern as a comish, I think he's done a lot for the game... But not doing anything to Isiah really sours me on him.

I guess we all learn something from this. There is a staunch code of honor recognized in the NBA that after losing four games on the road, having teams come back on you in several losses a coach like Karl is ABSOLUTELY NOT allowed to let his team try to close out a game big and head home feeling ready for the next game. As Isiah said - He (meaning Karl) put his team in that position --and I especially liked the little smirk on his face when he said it, confirms there is no tolerance of running up a score in the NBA.

Kudos to the Nuggets organization to accepting all penalties, taking responsibility for their part in the mess and not whining about anything.

Enjoy your losses this year Thomas. And hopefully they will be close. By one or two points so they will meet with your approval of the opposition.
