I agree, we have been owned by the penguins this year, i told my buddy at work that we got 4 goals against the pens he ****, started almost jumpin up an down, then i was like ummmmm bad news is they got 8, burst his bubble real fast, but i thought it was funny.

as for meeting the pens in the playoffs, 2 reasons that will not happen this year, first being if we do make the playoffs its gonna be an 8th seed thing, and there is no way the pens finish first overall, or the other option of actually winning a playoff round, and i just dont see that happening.

With all of our recent injurys makin the playoffs is looking less and less likely, pretty bad when before the new year your playin for draft picks.

I think the pens can win a 1st round matchup depending on the team. Buff or OTT no way - but i think they can hang with alot of the other teams.

You guys love getting blown out.

I don't care if Sens don't win the division because we can beat any team on any night

Default Forsberg expected back in lineup

VOORHEES, N.J. (AP) -Philadelphia Flyers captain Peter Forsberg is expected back in the lineup Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Forsberg, who missed four games with a groin injury, skated in practice Wednesday and announced he's ready to go.

"Everything's fine," he said. "And hopefully I'll be in the lineup for a while."

Forsberg has spent the last few days trying, again, to perfect a skate boot for his troublesome right ankle, which was surgically repaired last May. The 33-year-old Swede has said he believes problems with his skate caused the groin injury.

Doctors at Temple University have been working with him, experimenting with different orthotics to try to get a proper fit.

"Is it a hundred percent? No, it's not a hundred percent," said Forsberg, who has missed 16 games and parts of three others this season. "But I have to play. My hope is that it will get to one hundred percent."

The Flyers, 0-13-3 without Forsberg, just completed the worst half-season in franchise history.

Coach John Stevens said the team plays better with Forsberg in the lineup.

"Everything changes when he is in. It's a ripple effect through your lineup. Every line gets stronger," Stevens said. "When you're playing teams like Montreal, which has some depth, he goes a long way toward us figuring out the matchups we want to use."

Hey chad, any good trade rumors coming out of your city there? Halfway legitimate ones? Everyone and their brother has made up a Forsberg trade rumor. Just wondering what they're saying back there.

Thanks, ames. There are so many wacky ones circulating around. I wondered if maybe there were some legit ones coming out of there.

im not from philly, i actually live pretty close to toronto, so far ive heard forsberg is going to the avs, wings, habs, and rangers, all within about a 2 day period,

honestly, id trade him for a bag of pucks, hes useless when he only plays 50% of the time, the team needs a captain who shows up every night and can actually play every night.

other then that no i havent really heard anything

must say im pretty happy with what the team got for forsberg, and i for one hope he dosent come back, weve been down this road before, how many more times do we need to have our leader only play half the games, lets not repeat lindros, oh wait i mean primeau, oh wait i mean forsberg, enough already gimmie a good player that isnt made of glass.

ya know as bad as this year has been, we still swept the atlanta thrashers, and thats the only bright spot i can see on this season, that being said.

Al, after sid the kid and the rest of the penguins knock you guys out in 4 games your team will once again be wondering what the hell happened and promising better things next year. What happened to you guys last year anyhow ? i thought there was a guarentee ? something about lord stanley ?

yeah its been a really bad year, but weve done in one bad year what it took the penguins 5 bad years to do, weve gotten young and cheap, we have 25 mill to spend cap wise over the summer, and you know we will spend it, we will be a contender again next year.
