Default FYI, San Diego Bronco Fans

I go to Chiefs Burgers and Brew pretty much every time the Bronco games aren't on the local stations. The game tomorrow will be on NBC, but i figured it would be a great atmosphere to drive on up to Chief's again this weekend.

So i was coming back from dinner last night and was listening to the "mighty" 1090. It seems as though this guy from the radio station, John Kintera (i am just going by how it sounds... all the callers call him "coach" which is so darn cute) is going to be doing a thing with the radio station at the only BRONCO BAR IN SAN DIEGO! Now you can look at this two ways... You can say it's great.,.. There will be prize giveaways, the miller lite girls are coming, you get to meet someone who is apparently famous...

Or, if you are like me, you can see beyond all that crap and know that this was done on purpose to thwart us Bronco fans from the only place in town that was ours. The guy is giving out the address, telling everyone over the radio exactly where it is, and if you thought this place was going to be packed just based on the matchup this week, well, good luck even getting in the door now. You're going to have to show up during the first set of games (10AM PST) just to be able to watch the Broncos and Chargers at 5PM.

This is great for Chiefs, it will bring in lots of money and more publicity for the place. This is horrible for any Bronco fan that was looking forward to watching the game there this Sunday night.

I'll have to check out this place when I'm in town in December.

My buddies and I were thinking of invading this place. Oh well, looks like it's time to hit another sports bar if it's going to be that difficult to get a seat there.

I agree! That John Kintera guy is an idiot. He knows nothing about the Broncos. I can't believe all the guys who call him. They all sound like bandwagon fans who jumped on the Charger bandwagon 2 years back.

I have been to the Chiefs only once this year. I was hoping to come this week. But I dont want to overrun with Bolts fans. And then I have to drive back to OC in Sunday night which is a pain.

The thought of that place being overrun by sparkler fans sickens me. Here's to hoping they don't ruin it for REAL football fans

I really feel sorry for you. It would be tough to drive down to San Diego tomorrow to see the Broncos kick ass in front of a bunch of bandwagon Charger fans, before driving home to Newport Beach. I'd probably do it, but you would have to twist my arm.
Its freezing up here in Minneapolis BTW.
Enjoy the

It's not the bandwagon Charger fans that worry me. It's sitting in the Sunday night traffic jam in Oceanside inside my unreliable car.

But I might go to some other Broncos friendly bar nearby.

Well, i've decided that i'm going to the game at Chief's.

I will grab my usual table, which is basically the first picnic style table you see when you walk through the entrance... I will try to hang on to some extra spots, i know i can save two for sure. I've never been hassled there to make room for more business or to keep ordering food or leave as the policy is at Seau's (Replace your faded out big screen by the way, Jr.) so it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think that will change over this silly radio business.

Let me know if you plan on coming down and i'll do what i can.

There aren't alot of real charger fans in SD anyway. I've only met a couple dozen while tailgating in SD twice. I'm not kidding. Most of the people at those games are either Broncos fans or people looking to get a tan or talk some business. *edit* oh and gang bang wannabes. Plenty of them around for show.

OF1 is on break this year but we'll get back in the grove next year after I have time to assemble a crew/plan for next season.

Chiefs will be on the radar.

Dude.....Chiefs is literally stumbling distance from the Amtrak station in Solana Beach.

Depending on where in NB you live....Either drive up to the Irvine Transportation Center or shoot down the 73 and hop on in San Juan Cap.

$12-15 bucks one way, you can drink on the way down, sober up on the way back, nice scenery thru San Clem/San Onofre, no messing with Sunday night traffic on the 5 North.

Perfect!

Glad to hear the KC game is one of them Meck...that game has become a "must attend" for us! It's always a blast!
