No kidding. I heard a rumor last week that a three way deal between the Yankmees...Detroit, and San Diego was in the works...with Sheffield once again becoming a Madre. I was horrified because he was on record as having said that he'd welcome a return to S.D.

Needless to say I was thrilled when he was traded to Detroit. I just hope he stays there.

I am luke warm on the trade. Sanchez was the best prospect that the Yankees got, but he is not a sure thing. Sheffield sounds happy to be back with Dombrowski and Leyland. The Tigers need a big bat, I just hope he can stay healthy. Dombrowski has made all the right moves, so I will defer to his judgement in regards to this deal.
