Sweet Potato Corn Chowder
3 oz. slab bacon
1 small onion, chopped
½ cup chopped red pepper
½ cup chopped leek
1 tsp. fresh or ½ tsp. dried marjoram leaves
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
2 med. sweet potatoes-peeled/cut into ½ inch chunks
1 cup whole kernel corn
1 14.5 oz. can chicken broth
3 cups water
2 tsp. cornstarch
½ cup heavy cream

1. Saute bacon in 4 quart saucepan. Remove bacon with
