PENGUINS SCORE with just 3 seconds left.

Crosby threw it at the net, may have been deflected in by a Ranger or Oullet.

6-5.

Yep, it hit off the skate of Ward. Goal to CROSBY.

PENGUINS WIN!

Sidney with a 4 point night! Sweet.

I covet Dion Phaneuf. That guy is a monster. I just happened to catch the replay of the hit he put on someone tonight. Wow. He's a fun player to watch, IMO.

EDIT: What I meant to say was that Phanuef is more fun for me to watch than the fancy schmancy super goal scorers. I guess I just like that part of the game a bit more.

If I had to choose, I'd ship off Iginla before Phaneuf.

Gosh, that'd be a tough choice. A defenseman like him is rarer though, it seems.

I am truly envious of the Flames for having him.

Penguins' Malkin could make NHL debut in days
Friday, October 13, 2006

By Dave Molinari, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Penguins center Evgeni Malkin could make his NHL debut in a matter of days.

Malkin received contact in practice today for the first time since dislocating his left shoulder Sept. 20, and coach Michel Therrien raised the possibility that, pending further medical evaluation, Malkin could be in the lineup as early as Wednesday, when the Penguins will face New Jersey at Mellon Arena.

"I hope (he'll play in) less than a week," Therrien said. "We'll see. But he's close."

Malkin wore a black shoulder support under his hockey gear during practice and had ice on his shoulder afterward, but his play betrayed no problems related to his injury.

"He's making some great progress," Therrien said. "Evgeni's working really hard to get back into the lineup as soon as possible. We're excited about the way he's come along with that injury. He's close. He's close."

I have NHL Center Ice for the first time this year and I must say I'm loving it... I've watched so much hockey in the last week but it never gets old.

Not being allowed to get it can also head you in that direction. There really just should not be such things as guys who don't like sports.

I've had Center Ice for five years now and I don't think I could make it through a season without it. I'm a junky and I'm in a good place with that.

I can hear it now if my wife ever tried to tell me I couldn't have Center Ice.

"That's it, it's either me or Center Ice! You can't have both!"

"Damn, baby, I'm gonna miss you."

My wife doesn't get to complain, she knew what she was getting when she walked the plank with me.

nah I'm only 19 lol but thanks for the heads up. I hope my future wife if I do ever get married likes pro sports if a such thing even exists that way not only would I not get harrassed for watching too much sports, but she would be there watching with me. I'm probably doing too much wishful thinking maybe lol
