Its good week for a bye in Australia... We have both our major football code grand finals this weekend.
In the National Rugby League Grand Final, the Brisbane Broncos are taking on the Melbourne Storm.... About 10 years ago the Brisbane Broncos visited the Denver Broncos and trained with them for a week. They had some kind of sister club thing going on... But it hasn't happened since. Bummer. Anyway... Go Broncos in Sydney this weekend!!!! |

BYE WEEKS BLOW!
And get ready for a second BYE week pretty soon .... by 2009 (?) when the next TV deal rolls around. BYE weeks are all about TV money, of course ... And now that they "bit the bullet" last year and played the first-ever Super Bowl in February, (for almost 30 years before last year, they plopped the SB down on the last Sunday in Jan, and scheduled back from that date.) Now that "February SB's" are officially okay, opening weekend is the week AFTER Labor Day .... and a second BYE week will certainly follow. |

i truely hate the bye week but there are benefits to it. right now they are game planning to go after baltimore. also it gives us 1 more week to enjoy football. to me more football is great, and to have 1 more week of it for my team getting healthy again and preparing for a big game is a good thing. i dont want to be selfish but this is the way i look at it

I hate bye week. Every Bronco's bye week feels like the longest two weeks of the year. To make it worst we play on monday night which makes it even longer!!!

If anyone was paying attention, this was a really brutal game last week...I think we escaped without a ton of serious injuries, but this was a hard fought win against a desperate opponent. I see nothing wrong with the early bye. You take what the NFL gives you in scheduling. We have alot of bumps and bruses that can get some rest. What I don't like is how teams have a history of coming off the bye week flat. I hate the RatTurds worse than Oakland right now, Oakland is just a shadow at this point. |
