Default Jason Giambi Tears Ligament Pushing Teammate Under Bus

Jason Giambi certainly wants to make sure everybody knows he's been playing with a bad wrist for the last month. Jason Giambi, who sat out 82 games in 2004 with a "viral infection" while he shed 40 pounds of BALCO weight and batted .208.

This has got to be the last guy in the world who has any business criticizing anybody, but he absolutely killed teammate Alex Rodriguez in Tom Verducci's SI article this week.

It should be noted, these quotes are five weeks old. SI sat on them until now. That means Giambi was kicking A-Rod when he was at his lowest.

What kills me is Giambi saying Rodriguez projects a "false confidence".

Gee, Jason, you mean like the false confidence performance enhancing drugs provide?

Giambi says A-Rod is too image conscious, but Giambi used to walk around the clubhouse flexing his phony BALCO muscles in a too-tight t-shirt that read, "Hit like an All-Star, Party like a Rock Star and Hammer like a Porn Star".

Sounds like a guy who's trying hard to project an image to me.

I think its pathetic often injured, confessed steroid cheats like Giambi and Sheffield get a pass, but an iron man who did things the right way like A-Rod is just getting killed in the stands and the media and even his own clubhouse.

If you ask me, the Yankees like to pin the blame on Alex whenever anything goes wrong. The guy was the AL MVP last year and his numbers this year are actually better than Giambi's.

Everybody wants to say he can't hit in the clutch, but his lifetime post season batting average is .305. He had a couple tough series and everybody is ready to kill the guy. Hell, Vlad Guerrero went 1-20 in the playoffs last year and nobody was calling him a choker.

I think most Yankee fans just have sick little man crushes on Jeter and deep down they've resented A-Rod from day one. I think A-Rod should just get out of there. Too many people want him to fail, including, apparently, people in his own clubhouse.

I think A-Rod is destined for the Big A next year. Arte Moreno has the cash to make it happen and the Angels have the players and prospects to give the Yankees full market value.
