Go up through the draft order 1-whatever and back down from whatever to 1. Say we have 12....the number 12 pick will pick two times one right after the other.

Ok, we have 9....use 9 instead of 12.

I am very proud to select Bobby Orr, D, Bruins. (yes, I know he spent a short time with the Blackhawks, but I prefer to pretend that never happened)

The Bruins began scouting this marvel when he was 12 years old....and for good reason. He would go on to revolutionize the game with his free wheeling style. He was the first defenseman to join the rush and jump into the play, which was easy for him since he had the God given speed to always get back in position defensively.

After Gretzky, Lemieux, and Orr, Roy would have been my next choice. I'm still very happy to get, in my opinion, the greatest forward to ever play in the NHL with the 4th pick overall.

I select Mario Lemieux, C, Pittsburgh Penguins with my first pick. Whether he was coming back from cancer, a bad back or playing in an era of terrible clutch and grab hockey, Super Mario put up tons of points and scored some beautiful goals.
