OM Fantasy Football - The Orange Mane

I'm still awaiting word from TJ on whether he'd be okay with an OM Fantasy Football league again. In the past we've had great participation and it has been VERY competitive. I've played a lot of FF and the OM leagues were always the most fun due to the knowledeable fans we have on board.

In the past we have had leagues with 24 participants. Generally what we do is split it into two conferences with each conference having 12 teams and 3 divisions. Each conference (12 teams) selects from the entire league.

Playoffs are played amongst each conference with a final championship played with the winners of each conference. The championship is scheduled in week 16 to avoid week 17 player preservation.

The cost in the past has been $50 (per player) which pays for the league fees and then some incredible winning potential each week. The winner of the Championship received an authentic Broncos jersey of their choice (or a gift cert to the Broncos store to cover an authentic jersey... $235 or whatever it is now).

So, if TJ is okay with it I would help organize but would need at least one co-commish as I have to travel on occassion for work.
UPDATE!!! TJ has granted permission to host an OM FFL!!! Apa has offered to assist so he and I will handle the commissioner responsibilities. We still need more Playa's. If the $50 is your main obstacle let me say that there are several ways to recoup a considerable amount (if not all of) your entry fees. There will be weekly high point winners, conference winners, and several other potential bonuses.

I'll post a poll shortly to gauge interest and determine if we, a) have enough to form one conference, and b) have enough to form two conferences (24 particpants). Should we have more than 24 that are wanting to particpate it will come down to SCD dates (that would be join on dates). Sorry to you new comers that I know would be great assets to the league and provide some great competition, but RHIP baby!

I'd also like to add that the $50 would be an upfront fee. No pay no play.

So I just took a look at it HAT... PERFECT!!! Seriously, that will really help to mitigate the one concern I had regarding a FFL with $$$ potential.

Like I said before, these leagues have been extremely fun in the past and I look forward to doing it again. So far we haven't got enough participants to have even a single 10 or 12 team league. Hopefully the interest will pick up more and more in the coming days.

It appears that Apa and I will be the Co-Commish's.

TJ has a lot going on so he will not be able to help or assist but he gave me the go-ahead and with the secure $$$ site I think he is more comfortable than ever with the OM having FF again!!!

I'm in and I know Taco wasn't too hot on the last official OM FF league but if we get enough people we can just do an unaffiliated OM league.

And Alex I would be willing to be co-commish. I travel for work too but I can still get online while on business trips.

Nice! I will be in touch. Still haven't heard from TJ, maybe we just organize a Bronco Faithful League. Was planning on using MyFantasyLeague again.

The site that HAT suggested will allow you to pay in a number of different ways including e-check/Visa/MC/etc.

No doubt! We won't have a lot of the weekly prizes, but we'll still have a league.

The prizes in a 10 team league would amount to an Authentic Jersey for the champion, a $75 Prepaid Visa Card for 2nd place, and a $25 Prepaid Visa Card for 3rd place.

If we have 12 teams, we'll have enough to do weekly high score winners.

20 team, we'll have enough to do all of the above plus division winners!

I think we'll be able to drum up some interest tonight during the Broncos game.

I don't think the $50 is pricing us out for too many on the OM, or is it?

I am sure we can do one league but I would want to cap it at 12 as after that you get crap for players. Or in other words you can only draft a CBF1 team.
