Default Great movies you've never seen

So we all have movies that we are embarrassed to say we haven't seen, for one reason or another. All your friends groan when they find out. You miss out on cultural references. And you've seen Spaceballs 15 times.

What is your list?

1) Godfather
2) Alien
3) It's a Wonderful Life
4) Bad Boys 2

The only one on that list that I've seen is Bad Boys 2. Our division go to watch it the day I graduated boot camp.

I've seen part of It's a Wonderful Life, and have no interest in Alien, but I want to see Godfather, just don't have the time.

Went through the IMDB top 250 and listed a few notable ones I'd like to see:

Godfather Part II
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
The Usual Suspects
Se7en
Citizen Kane
Taxi Driver
Lawrence of Arabia
A Clockwork Orange
Raging Bull
Blade Runner
Fargo
Cool Hand Luke
Big Lebowski
The Graduate

The Usual Suspects is OK but overrated.

Citizen Kane is really hard to watch...soooo old.

A Clockwork Orange is awesome, but intense.

Blade Runner is great, but kinda boring too.

The Big Lebowski is a must see. But you have to see it with people, can't watch it alone once and expect to come away with a lot.

If you get a chance to see Lawrence of Arabia on a movie screen do yourself the favor and go. It's the definition of a movie that needs to be seen in theaters.

Of the rest of your list I'd prioritize Big Lebowski, Cool Hand Luke, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The rest were all good movies (except maybe Clockwork Orange, even the creator hates it) but those three are the most memorable to me.

Well, from that list- Cool Hand Luke is one of my favorite movies. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest as well. I'd also recommend Blade Runner if you happen to enjoy science fiction and film noir.

Good Lord you haven't seen any of those classics - not a movie buff I see.

Seriously any one of those films provide a great cinema experience.
Although Se7en is quite disturbing an will haunt you for a while

Honestly, unless you're single I don't know if I would recommend it. I still think about it every now and again and I saw it years ago.

Yeah I know. I actually love going to/watching flicks, but I was surprised myself to see how many true classics I haven't seen.

I'll have to get started on that list soon via Netflix.

If you use the instant play feature, a ton of classic flicks are available.

Yeah. I have Big Lebowski, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Blade Runner lined up to watch on my Xbox.

It'll be decent to have some good movies to watch in between studying for finals.

Never seen any Star Wars movies or any of the Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter movies... I am not embarrassed to say it though.

You've got to see the original Star Wars trilogy at some point. I mean, they basically spawned a culture.

No biggie on the Harry Potter movies. But not seeing Star Wars? I can't understand that one. LOTR are good movies and worth watching.

Definitely don't be embarrassed about that.

My rule of thumb is: If a movie has a wizard in it, you can pretty much count me out.

Come now. Gandalf is a very mildly wizardly Wizard.

I think a decade later, LOTR has finally supplanted Star Wars as my most favoriteist fantasy universe.

And as much pissing and moaning as there was about the Hobbit, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Without any of the self-doubt, regret, and possible erectile dysfunction that Phantom Menace brought about back in the day.

I have nothing against Star Wars I just don't have a very long attention span. It is hard for me to sit still for two hours to watch a movie.

I don't sit still through a Broncos game. I am pacing back and forth or jumping up and down most of the time.

Hey, your ladies in your life sat still for two minutes while it was about all you. Turn the favor and show them some excitement that goes past 2 minutes. Star Wars trilogy were awesome and I am glad I grew up when they were part of the culture.

I'd have no problem staring at your avatar for two hours.
