Default Yahoo, winter has arrived

Sitting here looking out of my office window in Evergreen watching the snow fall.

YAHOO!

I'm with the Farmers Almanac this year. They predict some brutal weather with "mucho" snow.

Bad El Nino year, from what they say. I've got to talk the wifey into getting the snow blower this year. I'm getting too old for the shovel.

It hasn't started snowing here yet (thankfully) but a lot of people have commented that it feels more like typical October temps than September. We've had to turn up the thermostat in the house a few mornings 'cause overnight lows were in the 30s...

I'm in the northeastern corner of Washington state... not far from the Washington/Idaho border and about 75-80 miles from the US/Canada border. The closest city of any size at all is Spokane, WA.

We had so much snow last year that I'm not at all anxious for it to start again.

You're happy about this? Having grown up in hong kong, I can not stand cold weather. In NY now.

Of course. Winter is supposed to be cold (unless you live in Australia or S.Africa).

....and Colorado winters aren't miserable like east coast winters. (I ****ing hate getting rained on in the winter. I'd rather spend the day dog sledding in Barrow Alaska or in a Blizzard anywhere in Colorado.

This was a mild summer. I have no doubt the winter will be awful...
