Spider-Man 4 will have Electro and Vulture as the villains, and might be based on the comic The Amazing Spider-Man Annual # 21 - The Wedding. ![]() http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0948470/trivia |

I'm not pleased about the inclusion of the vulture... he's always been mega gay.
So many cooler Spiderman villains. Why not continue the venom theme and bring in carnage? Though I suppose Spiderman has no shot vs him solo, so they'd need to do the Avengers movie first to bring in captain america and a small posse. Still... vulture?!?! |

Spiderman 3 would have been much better if they didn't insist on cramming 3 villains into one movie. I would have loved to see more screen time for one or two of the villains in the last movie. Sandman was a waste...

it wasn't the 3 villians that was too much, it was that it was so slow. the entire subplot of MJ's career could have been removed and that shortens the movie like a half hour and speeds things up. it wasn't the villians it was needless storylines.

I guess I should watch the rest of these. I love all the other comic book movies, not sure why I never really got into Spiderman, considering I used to read it. I think maybe Toby's not working for me.

Kirstin Dunst was definitely not anyone i would have chose for the MJ role. She's the main reason why I stopped watching after the first one. Too ugly and whiny for my tastes.

Preferred villain list:
Electro I don't mind Kraven and Calypso Morbius Rhino's awesome Scorpion Tombstone (could work in Punisher, though all HIS movies have blown) Anything from Hydra to start working the Avengers/Nick Fury angle. |

I'm still struggling with the 3 seconds of footage of a black Nick Fury. Wtf it's not like the Hoff was busy, give him a shout!

Yeah, they made a newer version of the Marvel universe called the "Ultimate Marvel" universe where they basically relaunched the entire Marvel line of characters. Among the many changes, the Avengers became a government run team by SHIELD, and instead of being called the Avengers, the team's title was called the Ultimates. In The Ultimates, you see the new, black Nick Fury--the artist clearly used Samuel L. as his photo reference and the way the character was written was very reflective of someone Samuel L Jackson would play. So, all in all, it was major coup for Marvel Studios that they could get SLJ to sign up for all the Nick Fury roles coming up in the Iron Man films, Captain America films, and eventual Avengers movie. If you have any interest whatsoever in comics, I highly recommend checking out the Ultimates (volumes 1 or 2, NOT 3) as they were some of the highest selling series in the last decade, if not the highest. ![]() |

I have no problem with them changing the skin color of some of the characters. NIck Fury being black doesnt bother me, nor does Kingpin being black.
IN fact I think its a bit better that way. Other than Blade I cant think of any black hero's or villains from the comics. |

Yeah I can't think of any either though, other than like, Storm. I guess it's because all these characters were invented in the 50s or 60s (I think! I'm not gonna lie, I'm not willing to do any research to back up that statement). |
