Default Brandon Marshall cant catch

I love his ability and his runs after the catch but the dropsies are happening every game and its becoming a big problem. Can someone please pass him the Stick 'em?

yes, that did make me mad, but Brandon Stokely and Royal dropped some gimmies too. It was cold and wet, not a good excuse, but Marshall does a lot for the team to make it up, see video

Royal's blocking yesterday was awesome.

Brandon has had a case of the dropsies this year, but I'm sure that will correct itself in time, just like it did with Rod Smith.

His injury still obviously affects him. Last year, he would be catching **MOST** of those balls. The harder Jay would throw it, the more likely he would be to catch it.

I am sure next year he will be catching many more and dropping much less...

Some of it's probably mental too. It will do him good to get some rest in the offseason and he'll forget all about it.

Yeah, I think his arm is still bothering him some, though thankfully not nearly as much as many of the doomsters predicted. I think with another offseason of rest the problem will correct itself next year.

It seems the passes he drops are the ones across the middle...maybe he's thinking about his first move before looking the ball into his arms. It can be fixed in the offseason, but it's something he really needs to work on.

I am a huge BMarsh fan, but I'm almost happy he's not been 100% phenomenal, all-world, bonecrushing this year because it will help give the FO some leverage when it comes time to negotiate contract #2. If BMarsh was lighting it up and catching everything within 5 yards of him, he'd command Larry Fitzgerald type money.

I think it goes a little beyond 'Nobodys Perfect'. The Broncos are third in the nFL in drops going into yesterday and yesterday surely didnt help us. They all drop some, but other than Braylon Edwards, not as much as Marshall.

You might need to look more at "dropped percentage." We have been passing more than other teams, so statistically we should have more drops. Same with the Eagles, Saints, etc..

It's probably me, but I think the guy jukes a little too much.

I saw a play yesterday where he caught the pass, juked inside and was clear to the first down line, then inexplicably juked back outside into the defender chasing him and was tackled a yard or two shy.

Regardless, he's fun to watch.

and while appreciating that he wants to take it to the house after every catch, he needs to learn when to just get up-field for maximum yards and minimum impact from defenders. still, the guy commands bracket coverage, which makes royal and stokely and the 2 headed TE more effective.

I think it's a mental slump. He wasn't prepared for the attention he's getting from defenses, it's frustrating him a bit, and he's pushing too much. He wasn't dropping anything at the beginning of the season, so I think it's just a slump. Rod went through it, so did Terrell Owens actually. The weather compounded it yesterday as well. He'll work through it, and at the same time it might keep Cutler from forcing the balls into coverage to him. They went with the open guy yesterday for the most part and it worked beautifully. That'ss soften his coverage a bit and he can get back into the flow.

He dropped passes last year too. Lets not start the "injury" talk again just yet. He needs Jawhaans hand strengthening tool.

Nah he still makes good catches. Claw couldn't catch. Plus the nerve damage is on the outer hand not inside.

He's taking his eyes off the ball and looking to run before the catch. He left a lot of yards and a TD on the field yesterday though.

Neither can Greg Jennings, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin and Reggie Wayne.

I would say Marshall's percentage of drops is lower than Edwards'. The Broncos throw it a lot more than the Brownies do.

That one he dropped in the endzone was pretty much in tripple coverage with a DB on his ass and effecting the catch. People want to bash him for everything but have some damn perspective.
