Default OT: Where Are You Going on Vacation?

Maybe it's just me, i'm getting ready for a long earned vacation starting this weekend. Leaving the kids at home and going to the beach with my wife. I thought we could play a fun game - where are you going on vacation? You see, I ask the question, then you tell me - easy game. Post a pic if you can.

Here's my spot for next week - Grace Bay, Turks and Caicos (in the Caribbean).

Where you goin'?

Do it dude, so you don't get an ulcer. Life's too short to not take vacation!

Im 19 and i have no money. This boss will be spending his days on the beaches here in Florida for the next few years, but that ok cuz we got all the fine girls here.

But it would be nice to be able to go somewhere and not think about anything.

I'll throw a beer bottle in the ocean next week, maybe it will drift to you by August.

Look for the bottle, it used to have beer in it...

I'll be heading back to the time share at one of the most beautiful places on Earth:

Kauai, Hawaii.

Do you hike along the Na Pali coast? I did that one time and took my snorkel gear, it was awesome.

On the trail, you can pick lychees and eat them. Then, choose your beach (be careful on the way down) and you will be all alone. The only caution I have is that the currents there are some of the strongest I have ever snorkeled in. I am a strong swimmer, I had some bad ass fins, and I was still getting swept out to sea when I tried to cross breaks in the reef.

But, it was worth it. Beautiful stuff, and untouched for the most part. Also, sometimes from up on the cliff paths you can see whales out in the distance.

I hope you have a great trip!

You sound just like me
Heck yeah man, I've done all of that. Seen the whales too.
Honestly it really doesn't get much better than that side of the island on this planet.

Breathtaking in every sense of the word.

I am having trouble including this picture in the body of the thread, so I just attached it. This is my backyard. I am not going anywhere special this year...just staying local.

Belize is AWESOME! I was there last summer and fell in love with it. Hired a guy who lives there to help with the touring stuff...he's fantastic. I'd definitely get in touch with him again if I went back. Just wish I'd been there longer!

We already spent 10 days in Boston/New York City.

We are heading off to the mountains on July 5th to get married and spend a few days relaxing there.

Lots of weekend camping trips this summer along with several music festivals. Heading to Pickathon in August. Then in September it's off to the Broncos home opener against Diego. Then, in December spending a week back in Tucson. Next year, we're planning a trip to either Jamaica or Mazatlan with some friends! Whew...that's a lot!

Getting married? Where have I been? Who are you marrying? Why am I always the last to know this crap?

I get the feeling there are a few posters here who are currently curled in the fetal position with the blinds drawn.

I thought WE were your friends. I don't see anything on that list about next year's OM Weekend ... what's up with that

Nothing tropical for me.... Vegas and LA in July, Denver in September.

We'll try to squeeze a few days in San Fransciso some time this summer. I went ther last December for the first time as an adult (non-business), and I fell for that city ... it has an NYC cosmopolitan feel.

Besides SF, this is my destinations. Because of my personal economy, I am going to Vegas for my anniversary (free two nighter at the Hooters hotel) and OMane weekend in September destination Denver. Staying close to home. I live in OC where many come to vacation so maybe hang out at the beach more and go to Disneyland for free (InLaw retired there so free pass) and already paid for Knotts family pass so use it at will.
