Default "No more 12th man"- Broncos Security official

Before the game I was talking to Bobby aka Raiderssuck (those of you that go to the tailgates know him) and he was pissed off because the Broncos security took away his cowbell in the last game. Actually it was a "task force" that was deployed to Raiderssuck because he had a ****ing cowbell. When they approached Raiderssuck they asked for his cowbell and Raiddersuck replied that he would put it in his pocket and not use it for the rest of the game. Well the "task force" said no give us the cowbell or you are getting ejected. Raiderssuck had no choice so he gave them the cowbell. Aren't there other things the security team needs to focus on rather than who has a ****ing cowbell?

Anyway I chatted with him and he had to go to the Broncos security office to try and get his cowbell back. He comes back from the office and tells me that the reason why they took away the cowbell was because the rules state that it was an artificial noisemaker. However in the rule book or guide I guess they listed some things you are not allowed to use for an artificial noise maker and guess what? Cowbell is NOT listed as one of those noisemakers. Throw in the fact that Raiderssuck has been bringing a cowbell for awhile and nobody had a problem with it. In fact when the "task force" came for the cowbell, the section that Raiderssuck was in wanted the "task force" to leave and let the guy keep his Cowbell. So of course Raidersuck is upset and asked the security official at the office, "what happened to the 12th man?" Well to my surprise the security official said "There is no 12th man anymore". So I along with a few others have already written an email to a Broncos security official.

I bet no stadium allows cowbells. Aside from being artificial noisemakers, they are metal and dangerous if thrown or whatever.

Call me a killjoy, but that is the world we live in. Look at it the same way they only offer beer in cups or plastic bottles.

They have allowed it for awhile, got through the check point at the gate with no problems. All of a sudden it's not allowed because there is no 12th man anymore. If you think about it, I haven't seen that 12th man flag raised at mile high stadium since the season started.

Now that you mention it...when I was there in Sept they didn't do their typical tribute to the 12th man that I've seen when I've attended previous games. That just sucks!!!

They´d then have to strip people of mobile phones and keys also as they can be quite dangerours when thrown.

I sat next to some douchebag Bronco fans that were so freaking drunk that when Jennings went to the sideline to talk to his family after the game he was hugging Ian Gold, the douchebag took off his jacket and threw it in their faces while screaming F--K you. Then walking away from the game tons of Bronco fans screaming out at Packer fans who most that I saw were not rubbing it in, they were simply leaving the stadium, of course I also saw a few who were trying to start stuff, whatever happend to being classy and not a sore loser?

I could see why they won't allow cowbells or other stuff nowadays, cause most of the folks in the crowd can't be considered trustworthy not to break the rules and act like asses.

There was a game a few years ago where I brought in a big metal blue pot. I was behind the Broncos bench banging it. Pat Bowlens brother looked over at me and laughed as I had it on my head at the time. I guess that doesn't qualify as a noise maker?

Pacino when did you become a freakin wine and cheese fan dude? I've never seen anyone use a cowbell for anything other than making noise. Had one been used as a weapon over the last few years we all wouldn't have been running around the stadium with them. Hell Disco has had them in the front row of the south stands for years. You mean to tell me that security never saw him with one?

So the Broncos say there is no more 12th man eh? I guess that explains the missing flag. Unbelievable...

I didn't think I was a wine and cheese fan, but if your definition of a good fan is someone who is so drunk/stoned that he swears and insults someone in front of his family, insults elderly people and then begins throwing things in their faces (last time i checked thats assualt "throwing missles") including a member of the team that he is there to support then later on tries to fight anyone that is wearing the winning teams jersey is a fan than I guess I am a wine and cheeser.

Tell me Steve and be honest, what would you have done if someone walked up to you while you were sitting next to your father and Jess then they started calling you a Fu#$king loser, calling your family much worse then started throwing things at you, for no other reason than they were wearing a different colored shirt than you? I'm betting your lawyers' would get involved and we would be reading many rants about it right here on the Mane.

I'm all for cheering, getting loud and the 12th man. I'm not against cowbells, but I can understand why they won't allow them, if some fans are so dumb as to throw things in the faces of our own players what's holding them back from throwing a cowbell? Can you insure the personal safety and liability of everyone in the stands so you can bring a cowbell?

Sure fights in the South Stands are something that is looked upon with tradition, and is bound to happen when booze is mixed with the emotions of the game, you can't eliminate that, but when the fans turn on the players rather than themselves that crosses the line. A ticket to a game is not a license to act like a a$$hole.

I always thought wine and cheesers were people who thought they deserved special privlige because their checkbooks were bigger than most people, and like to spout out things like "I built this place."

Not me....a few beer showers (unintentional as they may be) will change your mind rather quickly about those fans who cannot hold their beer (figurtively & literally).

Next thing ya know, they'll stop letting fans yell "In-com-plete"....

Don't they want the team to have a homefield advantage at all?

I guess not, especially when the Broncos Stadium entertainment officials try to get the crowd revved up when the Broncos HAVE THE BALL!!! WTF!

I dunno, it's disappointing and I don't think the Broncos care.
