It's long past time for for the 2006-07 award process to begin. So, without further ado, here's the scoop.
Here, we will select and recognize the the outstanding threads and performances of the past 13 months. Except for the "Hall of Fame" categories, discussed below, the awards will be presented for efforts & achievements that occurred between June 1, 2006, and July 20, 2007. Awards will be as follows: Four Individual Poster Awards for overall excellent performance through the year. Poster of the Year Rookie of the Year EGIBGB Honorary Award Avatar & Sig Award (Consider this our Special Effects award) 10 Performance Awards for outstanding efforts in a particular thread. Best Performance by a Poster in a Draft Analysis Thread Best Performance by a Poster in a Game Analysis Thread Best Performance by a Poster in an Emotional Meltdown Thread Best Performance by a Poster in a Football Smack Thread Best Performance by a Poster in a Fantasy Football Thread Best Performance by a Poster in an Off-Topic Thread Best Performance by a Rival Fan in Any Thread Looniest Performance by Anyone in Any Thread Best Photoshop Effort by a Poster in Any Thread Crystal Ball Award for Best Prediction of the Year Lifetime Awards for posters This is the Orange Mane Hall of Fame. (This year, we will induct three new members. Best Threads Best Preseason Thread Best Regular Season Thread Best Postseason Thread Best Offseason Thread Best Non-NFL Sports Thread Best Totally Off-Topic Thread ------------------------------------- Nominations will open today, and will continue through August 4, 2007. There are two ways in which you can nominate someone (or some thread) as the case may be. (1) Below this thread, in this forum, will be individual threads for each of the categories. You can post your nomination in the appropriate category. (2) Or, if you want to remain anonymous, you can PM me with your nominations. You can also "second" and "third" and "fourth" nominations, etc. In fact, this would be a good idea to insure that your nominated people reach the "finals." If some category gets a zillion "tied" nominations, I will trim it down as fairly as possible - - taking into account people nominated multiple times, general variety, and so forth. But this particular part will be a matter of my unfettered discretion. After the nominations are closed, I will create polls in this forum with the top nominations in each category for people to cast their votes for the winners. (The identities of the persons voting will not be disclosed.) Subsequently, we will tally the votes and announce the winners! |

I might nominate Slap for everything. He can even get ROY since he left then came back

I just noticed listo's picture thread is too old - December 2005. It should move to 'Ring of Fame Threads' though.

I'll give Kaylor AND SoCal POY for their camp reports alone.

SoCal should win the best game-analysis or draft analysis for sure .... but the camp reports deserve some separate award - like MVP or something.
I think of POY as being a variety of things - in a variety of places, but SoCal is definitely Most Valuable Poster - MVP. Whadd'ya say, Old Dude? Can we add an 'MVP' Award? |

I'm going with Lynchmob for ROY. Mostly because I can't think of anything about those other two guys nominated (no disrepect to you guys
). I actually remember a lot of his posts, so he's left his mark in my book. |

So who is in the HOF already?
And as for rookie Bronco610 all the way... and it has little to do with the bike. Threatening to beat up the blob gets high marks in my book! As for the greatest meltdown... Take your pick from one of the numerous free slap threads. |

Now this is awesome, I had nooo clue that there was an OM HOF
...... sorry, don't tell anyone this, but there are times that I read the OM and wonder how much more involved a person can get on the OM - some of you are truly over-dedicated to the cause. Seriously, I wonder how you do it, but I appreciate and love the culture that is the OM. I would gladly pin the title of OM HOFAMER on anyone who has over 5,000 posts in a relatively short period. |

If I have a son I will name him Kaylor and call him Kahn for short.
If any of my kids grow up to have a fondness for trees I will call them BroncoBuff or BB for short. If I have a son who likes guys and won't move out of my basement, who won't keep his word as an oath, and likes bobba fett and twinkies more than life I shall call him Bob. - This is not a good thing. If I have a Bad ASS Son that knows football and lays down the law I shall name him -slap- If I have a picture taking son his name is PEZ If I have a tailgating son, Meck If I have a Computer admin son, TJ If I have a smartassed son, Dom If I have a Pervert for a Son, Atlas If I have another sweet girl, Sassy or STG - Its a toss up. |
