Default Prayers for BMF

Hey all.... He's not hurt..

But, he got the wonderful (sarcasm there) Christmas present today of losing his job. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! He has his daughter for the next few weeks so this news is definitely not something that anyone needs, especially now.

Talk about Scrooge!!

Very sorry to hear that STG. I talk to him on Yahoo alot and he is definetly a great guy.

I will keep my Husker Brother in my prayers. If there is anything I can do for him, tell him to just drop me a line.

Losing a job isn't always a bad situation. Stay positive. I think it will be a good thing in the end.

Didn't he just get this job a few months ago? That's horrible. Well, I believe that things happen for a reason and you'll land on your feet in no time with something better...

These companies timing really sucks. They closed the mine here right after Thanksgiving. 600 family wage jobs gone right before the holidays.

BMF hang tough buddy, hopefully the perfect job is right around the corner.

Spend the next two weeks with your daughter and make her Christmas great. Forget about it and concentrate on her.

There seem to be a lot of jobs in Iraq. If you are interested let me know. It will at least put your job search in perspective. The best time to look for work is when you have a job. Right now ANY job would ease that feeling of "oh crap! Not at Christmas."

Good luck during this time. Spend time with your family. It's worth everything in the end.

Damn, that sucks. BMF is good people.

Don't worry, bro, I'm sure something better will come along in no time.

Actually, this same type of thing happened in my family just a couple of years ago. My older brother just got married and after year and a half of living in an apartment, he decided to buy a house (at the same time, his wife is 6 months pregnant) and the EXACT same day he signed the papers and made the down payment, he walks into work and they let him go (no ****). All out of the blue. And what made this even ****tier was that he hinted to his boss that he was going to make a major purchase and was reassured just weeks before that they were going to keep him (he was doing contract work in the IT field, been with the company for two years at the point).

How ****ty was that? But he persevered and not much later, he landed an even better job. He was down at first, but he picked himself up quickly and got to hustlin. I remember going down to visit him and he had this great big ol' house with no furniture and a bunch of ramen noodles on the counter. It looked bleak, but he pulled through and so will you man!

I don't pray much, but I'm going to get on my knees tonight and send a special shoutout to God for you.

Keep your spirits up, bro. This is life. Good times, bad times, sideways times...its just life. Just don't stay down, bro. You got to taste the sour before you realize how sweet the sweet really is.

Believe me I know how you feel. All these things are for a reason - even if that reason is meeting your boss in dark alley and beating the piss out of him.

Thats too funny!

I think the best revenge is living well. Sometimes that doesn't involve money but it involves understanding when you own something and when it now owns you.

With every door that closes another opens. I am a firm believer of this lifes path is never easy. If it was life would be boring. Hang in there keep your chin up and come back strong. Damn crappy timing by that company, if they are soulless enough to do this now you may be better off.

Well, it happened to SteveTensi13 and now BMF. Everyone reads at the Mane and I think the Boss read the tailgate thread on the Arizona game. Jeff, you are just too cool and drunk for your uptight boss. Now you have more time for hunting and looking how much you might like Bend, Oregon! It could be a blessing in disguise. Hang in there. Just dont get way down and look for a job in Butte. Good luck and dont worry until Christmas and The Cinci game is over.

I told him to move to Steamboat. If you can find a place to live anybody with a pulse could land a job in a week or less. There is no such thing as unemployement up here right now. To give you an idea minimum wage is around $13.00. That is what the new Staples store was paying when they hired people recently. If you have a pulse and some skills it's easy to make $25.00 plus.

Hey all, I just want to say thank you to each and everyone of you. It was a huge shocker and slap in the face at first, but after a good night of meeting with Dr. Jack and Dr. Jose, it's all good. I actually drove to Bismarck, ND yesterday to pick up my daughter and realized that things could be worse. I am going to take this two weeks off and focus on my daughter and just hang out with her. I spoke with my old boss and he said they may have a position opening for me and to call him back on Wednesday to talk about it. I do appreciate it and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
