Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?
I wouldn't say I enjoyed any movie that depicted such a horrible event, but I am very glad I went. I have about 300 books on the WWII Pacific Campaign and the events surrounding it. My father was there, but did not see any action as he was a radar repairman stationed at safe ports.
Movie did not follow the book, but was a fair representation. Glad they did not show the results of the Japanese torture.
I went in the middle of the day and there were only a few others in the theatre. Most were older men by them selves. I wondered if any of them were there or were in similar battles. I saw a couple of them crying. Not many today understand the sacrifices these men made.

This is one I want to see. I love the war movies that are based on facts and true events. I just watched the Band of Brothers series again and was glued to it like I've never seen it before.
