We've done an NFL draft, and we're doing an MLB draft; why not an NHL one?

I'm thinking 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies. 20 rounds. Maybe some more for depth?

Any thoughts?

I'm definitely in, as well.

12 forwards, 6 defenseman, 2 goalies sounds good.

There's only a few more hockey fans on the OM; jori, bronx33, mtnbroncofan, socal, herc, alec raenos and a few others. Oh wait, alec is a dickhead, not a puckhead. Sorry.

I say random. You can draw this time since you're running the draft.

I have a question though, does this draft include only players who played in the NHL or are guys who competed in international competition fair game too? I only ask because there were some greats who played for the Soviet Red Army team who never played in the NHL (Tretiak, Kharlamov, etc.) and I'd like to establish whether they're eligible or not before the draft gets started.
