These get my votes:
1 - The infamous Taco John "I'm gunna go ahead and call it now..." thread. 2 - I can't remember who posted it, but somebody actually called us going 13-3 last off-season, and I'm sure he got called a homer for it, but I'll be damned if he wasn't right. 3 - GonzoLays "Heat In 6" for this year's NBA Finals. |

I believe it was Gonzo that called us drafting Tony Scheffler about 5 minutes before it happened.

You jam right, FB. Jam right! It was a cold and dreary late April afternoon when I called the mother of all draft day predictions -- Tony Scheffler. Tony Scheffler? Who is that? Ta, ta, ta GonzoLays knew who it was and called the pick before it happened. Maybe the most momentous draft call of all time considering 95% of football junkies had never heard of the guy MUCH LESS projected him to go in the second round with the much ballyhooed Leonard Pope on the board. For your viewing pleasure: http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=41508 Also, on a side note, I did call the biggest steal of the NBA draft AND despite Rulon Velvet Jones's hatefest on me I did call the NBA Finals as well. BOOOOOOOOOK IT! |

There's also Taco John's famous "When we draft a Quarterback in the first round you'll all see that I'm right" comment from last year. |

I believe that Hercules Rockefeller called Cutler a few weeks before the draft.

You can't give props to Gonzo for Heat in 6. He took every Mavs opponent to win in 6 throughout the playoffs. It just happened to work out for him one time.

It was January, actually, and he started a B.Marshall thread, filled with reasons why he was a "Shanny player": http://www.orangemane.com/BB/showthread.php?t=37141 Pacino was a real Kreksin there ... you gotta read all his posts in that thread. Amazing. . |

Since I'm ineligible for any poster awards, I'd just like to take this opportunity to mention that I predicted the Broncos would go 13-3 and win their first playoff game, but I will be damned if I can find that post in the archives.
Of course, when it comes to me, I could very well have the year mixed up... ![]() |

I would like to nominate myself for predicting the drafting of Elvis, the only correct bronco pick I had in my 7 round mock.

I really didn't want to lobby for myself, I thought it was better to have others say what they thought of your takes but since it looks like it's kosher to do so. I think there is a big difference between picking a guy that was at least known and written about in the Draft Guides 5 minutes before he was picked and picking a guy 4 months ahead that NOBODY talked about. try looking for him in any Draft Guides, he isn't there.

Marshall was a great call Pacino, Scouts Inc. had him as the 22nd best WR in the draft.
