![]() I wanted to make a "Power Rankings Thread - Week 11" where I continually update the first post with links to power rankings around the web as they come out.
The edit timer won't let me. |

![]() Yeah, but then all the information becomes kind of mish-mashed throughout the thread.
Edits are nice because then we can add updates on stories and whatnot. For example, the "TO going to denver" thread. In the first post you could edit in: UPDATES!! T.O Suspended for the season! Bottom of page 4. Rosenhaus gives press conference! Page 7. T.O signs with Dallas, page 17 It's just nice for organization. Last edited by Blart; 11-15-2005 at 11:10 PM.. |

![]() I'm not a big fan of pulling the edit timer. Sometimes, people should just have to be reminded of the stupid stuff they have said. Pull the edit timer - even for a valid reason like the one that you mention - and you lose the opportunity to humiliate certain people (especially Chiefs fans) with their past idiocy.

![]() Was it common for chiefs fans to go back and edit week-old posts if they said something dumb? Right now they can edit 3-day old posts, and I don't see it happening.
I find it hard to believe that this was a problem, but if it did happen a lot, I'll gladly support the edit timer too. What if it was changed from 3-days to a week or two? Two weeks is usually more than enough time for a hot thread to die. Last edited by Blart; 11-16-2005 at 10:24 AM.. |

![]() If somebody says something dumb and you don't want them to go back and edit it later (which would be rare I'm guessing) you can just quote it.
