Sitting here in the hotel watching Miami of Ohio and Bowling Green play in the rain. So far Omar Jacobs hasn't done much but the conditions are horrible.
Miami has a linebacker named Nande who is 6'1, 230 pounds that runs the 40 in 4.4. He also can bench press 225# 41 times (combine record is 45 which he says he will break) and he squats over 600#. Is he the next Al Wilson or the next Mike Malamua? |

Wow, a LB breaking a lineman's record. Now that would be cool.
I'm sure the workout warrior at the Combine will be some of the athletic freaks that are playing TE right now. |

Leon Williams will be a workout warrior at the combine. He'll get somebody to waste a 3rd or 4th round pick on him.

On the other hand, I am very skeptical of the bench press in terms of carryover to NFL let alone athletics. What sort of grip? Wide or close? And high rep is hardly a true indication of strength at all. You see these LBs benching more reps than the linemen, but overall I bet you the Linemen will have higher max reps. Is his 40 handtimed?
