Default NFL Draft Showcase 7 round mock

http://www.draftshowcase.com/swmock05.htm

Denver's picks
1st round Shaun Cody, DT/DE USC
2nd round Jason Campbell, QB Auburn
3rd round Antonio Perkins, CB/PR/KR Oklahoma
3rd round Mark Bradley, WR Oklahoma
6th round Chris Myers, OG Miami (Fla.)
7th round Rob Pettiti, OT Pittsburgh

i must say as a whole i would like this draft. It would be good. The only things that really bother me are Campbell in the 2nd and Mark Bradley.

Especially with Browner, Munoz, Babineaux, and Gibson there in the 2nd, and CJ Mosley being taken with the first pick in the 4th.

I wouldn't mind picking up Rosco Parrish from the U with our 101 to put some bang into the return game.

I think Babs will drop because of his size/weight. All this kid did was make plays for Roth. He's got a really great first step. He's a definite #3 for us as well. He could play LDE easily as well. I saw him play alot at Iowa, and he was much more consistent than Roth. However, Roth seemed to know when Iowa needed a big play. He plays 100 percent all the time, but can get frustrated when "owned", but anticipates the big play and seems to elevate his game to a new level on big plays. He's hard to judge.

Cherry picking from this mock, I would take:

25 - David Baas, C-G, Michigan (help for interior line a pressing need)
56 - Jason Campbell, QB, Auburn (grooming a backup for Plummer)
97 - Antonio Perkins, CB-KR, Oklahoma (nickel back and great kick returner)
100 - Vincent Jackson, WR, Northern Colorado (strictly on potential)
200 - Maurice Clarett, RB, Ohio St (Shanny always takes a RB and, as a 6th, Clarett can't hurt us if he fails)
239 - Ryan Riddle, DE, Cal (a 3-4 tweener with pass-rushing skills)

Are the Broncos going to rotate three teams of defensive linemen? Why do we take a DL in the first round when we just picked up four, re-signed two and plan to re-sign one or two more?

Because none of the currently signed guys can reasonably be expected to play at an above average level. Half of them don't deserve roster spots in the NFL. If the Broncs don't start developing a couple of young guys they will be in exactly the same prediciment next year.

Everyone seems happy with the offense which is wierd considering we have our only starting caliber Guard moving to Center maybe as soon as next year. A RB that can't catch the ball playing in a WCO, undersized WRS with no one to replace ROD (using the 3 year rule we should look for one this year), no depth at Tackle except a rapidly aging TE moving to LT.

Yet it's our #4 ranked D that needs all the help

The D wears down at the end of the year becuase our O does not seem to dominate time of possestion like it use to. Go out and get some WCO type players and start wearing down the other teams. This is the best chance you have to beat Indy.
