Default Edwards vs Williams

Despite all the hype around Mike Williams in the past couple of weeks, Braylon Edwards has also really improved his stock lately as well. In fact, there has been some talk that Edwards is now the leading choice for the number one pick by the 49ers... Who do you guys think will be the better receiver

I'm going to go with Edwards, but by the slimmest of margin's...

Especially when he lost to OSU 3 out of his 4 years, those were my joys of watching him at Michigan.

They are two totally different styles of receivers. Williams out fights the defender. Edwards out smarts them. Both are great, but I would tend toward Edwards because I think he will have a longer career due to the fact he takes less punishment.

I honestly have to go with Williams. Just the whole package. I think he will have more receptions and be involved in the offense more than Edwards, more of a home run threat. Williams reminds me so much of Owens.

Edwards- best of this year's college class

Williams- best of this Decade's receivers

If given I had to choose between the two, Williams 9 out of 10 times. I think Williams succeed, no matter what system he goes into, with Edwards that up for debate.

Williams all the way. Living in SoCal you got to see him play for 2 years on TV most weekends, I hate USC but this guy is for real.... numbers and a national championship do not lie.

Mike Williams by leaps and bounds if he goes to the right team. If he goes to the Bucs, he's going to be hell.

Edwards...ugh. He makes for some great highlight reel material, but his hands aren't much more reliable than Lelie's. I'm just thankfull that I don't have to worry about Oakland drafting this bust.

Williams is easily the best receiving prospect since Moss. He adjusts to the ball better than anyone that I've seen other than Moss, and there isn't a CB in the NFL that he can't go over/through to get to the ball. He'll be an absolute beast in the red zone, and imo would solve the Broncos red zone problems for years to come.

His routes aren't as polished as they will need to be for him to be as dominant as he can be, but because of his size and ability to use it he'll be a force immediately.
