from NFL Draft showcase. I am underlining those who i think are ranked here significantly lower than what i think they should be and boldening those who i think are projected significantly higher than where i would put them.
NOTES: *This list is based upon projected NFL success, not necessarily where players will be drafted. *Derrick Johnson's speed and playmaking ability make him our new top prospect. *Shawne Merriman is a freak athlete who has moved up as much as any player. *Troy Williamson's stock is going up after a great combine performance *Khalif Barnes' stock is also high, especially with a weaker OT class. *Pacman Jones is high on everyone's list, but I'm still skeptical about players who move up so much in ranking after the season ends. *Robert McCune will surprise people. He's not a household name, but he's a great athelte. photo from National Champs 1.Derrick Johnson, OLB, Texas 2.Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan 3.Antrel Rolle, CB, Miami 4.Mike Williams, WR, USC 5.Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn 6.Shawne Merriman, DE, Maryland 7.Aaron Rodgers, QB, California 8.Justin Miller, CB, Clemson 9.Carnell Williams, RB, Auburn 10.Alex Smith, QB, Utah 11.Marcus Spears, DE, LSU 12.Mark Clayton, WR, Oklahoma 13.Thomas Davis, SS, Georgia 14.Alex Barron, OT, Florida State 15.Cedric Benson, RB, Texas 16.Troy Williamson, WR, South Carolina 17.Pacman Jones, CB, West Virginia 18.Khalif Barnes, OT, Washington 19.Heath Miller, TE, Virginia 20.Jammal Brown, OT, Oklahoma 21.David Pollack, DE, Georgia 22.Shaun Cody, DT, USC 23.Anttaj Hawthorne, DT, Wisconsin 24.David Baas, C, Michigan 25.Carlos Rogers, CB, Auburn 26.Mike Patterson, DT, USC 27.Vernand Morency, RB, Oklahoma State 28.Robert McCune, ILB, Louisville 29.Travis Johnson, DT, Florida State 30.Daryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia 31.Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin 32.Channing Crowder, ILB, Florida 33.Dan Cody, DE, Oklahoma 34.Brandon Browner, CB, Oregon State 35.Eric Shelton, RB, Louisville 36.Elton Brown, G, Virginia 37.Justin Tuck, DE, Notre Dame 38.Roddy White, WR, UAB 39.Marlin Jackson, CB, Michigan 40.Charlie Frye, QB, Akron 41.Adam Terry, OT, Syracuse 42.Kevin Burnett, OLB, Tennessee 43.Bill Swancutt, DE, Oregon State 44.JR Russell, WR, Louisville 45.Rian Wallace, OLB, Temple 46.Eric Green, CB, Virginia Tech 47.Bryant McFadden, CB, Florida State 48.Ben Wilkerson, C, LSU 49.Fabian Washington, CB, Nebraska 50.Matt Roth, DE, Iowa 51.Demarcus Ware, DE/OLB, Troy State 52.Fred Gibson, WR, Georgia 53.Odell Thurman, ILB, Georgia 54.James Butler, FS, Georiga Tech 55.Jason Campbell, QB, Auburn 56.Alex Smith, TE, Stanford 57.Ernest Shazor, SS, Michigan 58.Reggie Brown, WR, Georgia 59.Marcus Johnson, G/T, Mississippi 60.JJ Arrington, RB, California 61.Antonio Perkins, CB, Oklahoma 62.CJ Mosley, DT, Missouri 63.Corey Webster, CB, LSU 64.Josh Bullocks, FS, Nebraska 65.Barrett Ruud, ILB, Nebraska 66.Wesley Britt, OT, Alabama 67.Marcus Lawrence, ILB, South Carolina 68.Logan Mankins, G/T, Fresno State 69.Mark Bradley, WR, Oklahoma 70.Ciatrick Fason, RB, Florida 71.Atiyyah Ellison, DT, Missouri 72.Brodney Pool, FS, Oklahoma 73.Matt Jones, QB/WR/TE, Arkansas 74.Michael Munoz, OT, Tennessee 75.Kyle Orton, QB, Purdue 76.Marion Barber, RB, Minnesota 77.Lance Mitchell, ILB, Oklahoma 78.Andrew Walter, QB, Arizona State 79.Courtney Roby, WR, Indiana 80.Kevin Everett, TE, Miami 81.Jovan Haye, DE, Vanderbilt 82.Lofa Tatupu, ILB, USC 83.Oshiomogho Atogwe, FS, Stanford 84.Vincent Jackson, WR, Northern Colorado 85.Roscoe Parrish, WR, Miami 86.Michael Boley, OLB, Southern Miss 87.Jason Brown, C, North Carolina 88.Claude Terrell, G, New Mexico 89.Chris Kemoeatau, G, Utah 90.Ronald Fields, DT, Mississippi State 91.Jammal Brimmer, SS, UNLV 92.Dan Orlovksy, QB, Connecticut 93.Terrence Murphy, WR, Texas A&M 94.Chris Canty, DE, Virginia 95.Jerome Mathis, WR, Hampton 96.Travis Daniels, CB, LSU 97.Brandon Jones, WR, Oklahoma 98.Brandon Jacobs, RB, Southern Illinois 99.Donte Nicholson, SS, Oklahoma 100.Darren Sproles, RB, Kansas State

SoCal - agrree with many of your observations. What don't you like about Ronnie Brown? 5th best might be a stretch, but he looked pretty good to me the last two years.

I think Darren Sproles is definitely among the top 100 prospects. He's undersized and has durability issues, but that has been said about several good RBs. Sproles is flava clown-free and very speedy. I'm not saying he'll be picked in the first 3 rounds, but he's certainly NOT overrated at #100.
