"I almost got drunk at school at 14
Where I almost made out with the homecoming queen Who almost went on to be Miss Texas But lost to a slut with much bigger breastes" And CU almost fired the moron(s) this last spring. No TV. Once again, the question must be asked, "how ****ing stupid is CU's coaching staff?". Once again, everyone in unison yells, "We don't know. How ****ing stupid is CU's coaching staff?" At that point, silence. Like the Buddhist who was asked what the key to infinate wisdom is, there are no words to explain the answer. My preview to come, once again, around Friday-ish. |

Wow......this thread garnered a lot of attention.
Keys to the game: * Reggie McNeal. Maybe he can come down with a really bad flu before the game. That would help a lot. Dude is possibly the most impressive QB in the Big XII. He's like Brad Smith and Vince Young, but in my opinion, more complete. The only QB that might have an edge over him in the XII is Jason White. You win the Heismann, you should get a little respect. * Get some turnovers. For crying out loud, aTm has only given the ball away once this year. ONCE! We usually give it up once every other drive. Time for our LB's (who I absolutely love this season) to kick some ass. Blitz 'em and try to mess with McNeal. * Lock Shawn Watson in the locker room and have a trained monkey call the offensive plays. Counter left on first. Screen to WR on second. Go deep on third. Punt. Hopefully, by next year if this moron is back, Crosby can start kicking 80 yarders. * Get the crowd out of it. The 12th man hasn't stopped CU yet, as we're 2-0 in Big XII play against them. Those fans are damn annoying. And I think they're a little TOO friendly with those collies if you know what I mean. * This is a job game IMO. If we come out and get humiliated, it guarantees that Barnett & Co. won't be back next year. In fact, Hoffman is already interviewing coaches. I got a picture of one of them. Honestly, I think he might be a nice change of pace: Keep it on the down low though. Final Prediction: aTm 35, CU 16. aTm pulls off the accelerator halfway through the third, CU gets three fg's from Crosby and another solid effort from the D. I still maintain that our D has been damn good this year, but they're not getting ANY help from the O. |

Yeah, uh huh. Damn band geeks.
CU 13-7 at half. Watson might actually be upgraded to "trained chimpanzee" if he keeps this up. |

Heck, it's not even on TV in Austin. Which one of them is on probation this time?

Music major, in general, is not the best major to meet women. So naturally, I followed that with a minor that's even worse for women. Quote:

I drove down with my dad to the game (3'ish hours from Dallas
)..It was actually really fun, good CU crowd (you can see us in the highlight of the first touchdown).. The defense actually played really well (For a change), it wasn't until midway through the third quarter when they REALLY started to wear down. CU play calling was absolutely horrible. A&M came out stacking 9 (seriously, NINE) in the box on every down. There where no safeties in coverage, they where basically pulling the safeties up into linebacker spots. CU tried to pound it through 9 players with very limited success in the first half. They needed to take some shots down field, run some slants, etc.. This coverage is why the flanker screen worked so well as the corners spent the first 30 minutes on an island. It wasn't until the second half they grew a brain and started taking shots downfield. They suceeded in forcing A&M to adjust which opened up the running game (duh). Purify was injured for awhile, went into the locker room and it looked like he was getting a pain shot (pure guess). Of course it was mistakes that ended up killing CU. On one drive late in the game they took away two first downs on holding calls.. then of course the fumble on the big pass play. They just couldn't overcome their mistakes and it cost them. The one impressive thing about the defense was that they didn't really give up touchdowns.. A&M moved the ball on them (particularly late), but when they got down inside the 20 they really clamped down on them. This was the most impressive overall effort the Buffs have put together this season. Kyle Field is an incredibly difficult place to play (just ask Oklahoma). The whole stadium is very close to the field (the upper deck sits very steep, and doesn't really go back very far) and the fans are certainly loud. Despite that CU stayed in control of the game and really should have won this going away.. If they can learn to avoid the mistakes deep in the opposing teams terroritory, they will be good to go. Good trip, and a definite thumbs up to the CU fans who made the trip. We took up two sections and really seemed to make a lot of the A&M (students in particular) faithful uncomfortable. They're obviously not used to the fun loving method of rooting for your team (they're caught up in that whole military thing). b**** of the game: The one thing that absolutely SUCKS about A&M is that they reserve the first 3 rows of the visitors section for freshmen. The freshmens JOB is to stand during the whole game, in order to force the opposing fans to.. stand for the whole F*ing game. That's just screwed up on so many levels... particularly for the players older moms and grandmas who ended up watching the game on the tron because they couldn't stand for the whole thing. A&M has many traditions that really come off as prickish.. and this is just one more. |
