Damn, I wish I was in Atlanta, that's a great deal for a baseball fan, even if you don't like the Braves. You'd basically get to see Roger Clemens and Roy Oswalt pitch in the postseason at half price.

ATL has always been horrible when it comes to baseball, can't even sell out opening day.

That being said, Los Angeles is the worst as a sports town, at least ATL can support all 3 major sports teams.

Well, the Thrashers are way more supported than the Hawks, who don't really count as supported. The Dodgers, Lakers, and Kings get way better attendance than anybody in Atlanta.

True, but they have to be winning to get the support. Atlanta seems to at least put people in the seats that care about the team regardless of them winning or not.

Once Lakers falls face down this year, you'll see a half empty Staples Center with people arriving late and leaving early, same with the other LA teams.

Yeah, you may be right, the only two towns I truly know what's happening in are Denver and Miami. It just seems like Atlanta doesn't care too much about any of its teams while Los Angeles at least comes out for the Dodgers, Lakers, and Kings. Will the Lakers really suffer this season at the gate? I know Miami is absolutely crazy right now about Shaq and the Heat. They've done the impossible and taken the Dolphins out of the spotlight, although Ricky Williams, Dave Wannestedt, Rick Spielman, Jay Fiedler, and Wayne Huizenga have helped make the 'Phins unpopular for the first time in forever.

I can't believe they keep trotting up old man Clemens into the 7th. He's over 108 and was sick two days ago.

Yeah, but from my understanding he told the coaches he wanted to go one more inning.

The Braves have been failing to sell out playoff games for years. The only reason they got a full house last year is because half the crowd was there to root for the Cubs. A pathetic display to say the least. Any town that doesn't sell out playoff games should be ashamed.

The Falcons couldn't draw flies unless it was the Deion teams that made the playoffs, the Super Bowl team in '98 or the Vick lead Falcons of today.

The Thrashers attendance has been declining (as expected, the novelty of having a team has worn off).

You could throw a live hand grenade into the stands at a Hawks game and not hurt anyone.

They've become so used to winning the NL East, that it isn't seen as that big of a deal anymore.....plus they've become so conditioned to playoff/WS losing that it's hard for the people of Atlanta to believe in them....or that's the excuse I keep hearing anyways.

I haven't been to Turner Field, but I remember Atlanta Fulton Co. Stadium very well...it was muggy, buggy and smelt like a urinal.
