Welp, started off bad. Now it's time to make up some ground on the first big week of College ball.
Thursday sept. 2nd: Texas A&M at #21 Utah spread: UTAH -10 Don't know much about Utah at this point. Don't know much about TAMU at this point either. Franchione needs to start producing soon or the aggie faithfull is going to get pissed. TAMU +10 Saturday September 4th: Bowling Green at #2 Oklahoma spread: OKLAHOMA -32 Stoops loves to run up the score. Especially in an opener at home. Bowling Green lost their main threat last year. Sooners roll in this one. Oklahoma -32 Miami(OH) at #7Michigan spread: MICHIGAN -19 Miami(OH) just waxed somebody last night 49-0. Granted, it's not Michigan. 19 is alot of points and this one has been close the last couple of years. Big Ben is gone but I'm sure they have somebody to step in. Miami(OH) +19 Cincinnati at #9Ohio State spread: OHIO STATE -18 Sorry Denfan, but if this was in Cincy, you'd hear lots of chants of "OVER RATED" Cincy +18 Kent State at #12Iowa spread: IOWA -30 Is Kent State this bad? When I saw Iowa ranked 12th I thought it was a massive overrating of a team. Maybe they have something I haven't heard about. Not much Big 11 news in Oklahoma. I'll go ahead and go with Vegas on this one. Iowa -30 #15California at Air Force spread: AIR FORCE +12 California is overrated. One of the most overrated teams this preseason. Air Force has a hot frosh qb that seems to be lighting it up in practice. The option always seems to give teams fits for atleast a half, that may be long enough. Air Force +12 #19 Virginia at Temple spread: TEMPLE +18 This one is a complete blowout. Temple needs to be sent down to 2a. Virginia -18 Central Florida at #22 Wisconsin spread:WISCONSIN -24 I hear Central Florida wants into the big east. Well, We'll see what they've got. C.Florida -24 Western Kentucky at #13 Kansas State spread: KANSAS STATE -16 This is over before it starts. K.State -16 Louisianna Monroe at #18 Auburn spread: AUBURN -39 Hmmm, While I do believe Auburn is going to walk in this one. They're not going to win by 40. Lousianna Monroe +39 Georgia Southern at #4 Georgia spread: GEORGIA -28 Georgia Southern is a D2 powerhouse. Georgia likes to bang and bruise teams into submission. Georgia wins it, but it's fairly close. Too close for the bulldogs liking. Georgia Southern +28 Wake Forest at #16 Clemson spread: CLEMSON -13 Didn't Clemson lose their starting TB for most of the year with a broken leg? Clemson does have an excellant secondary. I'll take the Tigers to win by 2 tds. Clemson -13 Oregon State at #3 LSU spread: LSU -19 LSU lost a few players to the draft, but they are still solid. Oregon State has a decent offense, but LSU is really strong on D. I'll take D over O anyday of the week. LSU -19 Middle Tennessee State at #10 Florida spread: FLORIDA -28.5 Florida is another overrated team. Florida likes to run up scores tho...Oh wait, Spurrier is gone and they have a coach that cost me money last year. For this reason alone I will pick against them every time. Middle Tennessee State +28.5 "Eat me Zook" East Carolina at #11 West Virginia spread: WEST VIRGINIA -28 How is WV ranked this high? I know they have a cake walk schedule, but come on! Anyways, I'll take ECU +28 Northern Illinois at #20 Maryland spread: MARYLAND -14.5 NIU likes to play the spoiler, but Maryland has a pretty good team coming back. The spread is low enough for me to bite. Maryland -14.5 North Texas at #8 Texas spread: TEXAS -25 Texas always loses a non-con game early. This isn't it. Texas -25 Arkansas state at #17 Missouri spread: MISSOURI -32.5 Brad Smith is a heisman candidate. The Defense is getting better and better. Arkansas State sucks. It's alot of points, but sometimes you've got to say **** it! Misery -32.5 Toledo at #23 Minnesota spread: MINNESOTA -11.5 Does Minnesota still have that Muslim Qb? Minnesota -11.5 Sunday september 5th: Syracuse at # 22 Purdue spread: PURDUE - 13 It's a team named after an adult beverage. What other reason do I need to give? Purdue -13 UNLV at #14 Tennessee spread: TENNESEE -20 Rocky top is one of the best fight songs in the country. Tennessee -20 Monday september 6th: Florida State at Miami(FL) spread: MIAMI(FL) -1.5 Now this is a damn fine game right here. Atleast on paper. Is Brock Berlin still starting Qb at Miami?
