1. Michigan - Hail to the Victors
Great song, great lyrics...easily one of the most recognizable in college FB
2. Notre Dame - Victory March
Cheer cheer for old Notre Dame...I love this one, even though I dislike ND.
3. USC - Fight on
USC year in and year out has far and away the best marching band, its no wonder they are ranked this high in my poll.
4. Ohio State- Fight the Team
Gotta give the Bucknuts some love for this one..great fast paced song.
5. Texas - Texas Fight
Its hard to respect a band that dresses like they do, but this is a good song not only to listen to, but watch performed, and the "dances" performed by the crowd. Hook 'em!
6. Kansas - I'm a Jayhawk
With a prelude of "Rock Chalk Jayhawk", this is a tough one to beat.
7. Florida State - War Chant
Not really their fight song, but a classic..often imitated, never duplicated.
8. Miami - Miami Fight Song
Yeah i'm tired of hearing it, but with a great program often comes a greater fight song.
9. Oklahoma - Boomer Sooner
Again, not their official fight song, but a good song nonetheless. This might be ranked higher if it wasn't played every single time OU runs the ball, passes the ball, tackles a player..or well..anything really. Overplayed by the band, badly.
10. Alabama - Yea Alabama
Took awhile for the SEC to get on the list, but what they lack in fight songs they make up for in sports.
11. Arkansas - Arkansas fight song
See above
12. Kansas State - Wabash Cannonball
Not their official fight song, but a great story. The story goes, sometime in the 40's, an arson set fire to KSU's music hall, that destroyed ALL the sheet music except the Wabash Cannonball, which they played the next day at the game..and it stuck. Also accompanied by the famous dance.
13. Arizona State - Maroon and Gold
Not much to say here..the Pac-10 makes it second apperance.
14. Georgia Tech - Ramblin wreck of Georgia Tech
Crappy name, great song.
15. Penn State - Touchdown, Fight on State
I'm not sure if this is their official song, but its a great one nonetheless
16. Florida State - Fight Song
The only team to make the list twice. Great song..F-L-O-R-I-D-A..S-T-A-T-E..WOO!
17. UNC - Hark the Sound
Gotta love the xylophone or whatever they are playing.
18. Marshall - Sons of Marshall
A weird song, but the MAC has to represent somewhere on here. Its strangly addicting.
19. Texas A&M - Aggie War Hymn
Great tradition here..add some whoopin yell leaders and you got one hell of a song.
20. Navy - Anchors Aweigh
No comment.

Honorable Mention: Army - On Brave Old Army Team, Kansas State - Wildcat Victory, Duke - Fight Blue Devils, Fight

Worst Song: Virginia : Good old Song
Come on..a song that is clearly Auld Lang Syne...unoriginal and stupid.

Wildcat Victory only gets an honorable mention, while that horrible crappy KU song is in your top 10? That's it. I'm going to do everything in my power to revoke your KSU football tickets...

And, I agree that Rocky Top should be in the top 20.

Heh. I remember they still played Boomer Sooner EVERY freaking DOWN in the Big XII championship, even after the score was 35-7 in the 4th quarter.

Yeah. I was there...one row from the top, nw corner of Arrowhead. They always do that though. It helps easy the pain of seeing Darren Sproles run though our defense, over and over and over and over....well, you were there.

Many people OU for this reason alone. Perhaps it is a tactic to annoy the hell out of their of their opponents. If that's the case it's working.

I like both of USC's songs. They are catchy, but dear god they play them WAY too much. On defense when they make a tackle they play one. And on offense whenever they gain yardage they play the other. Plus when your team gets stomped 45-14, you want to leave after the first quarter. Ugg...

Rocky Top should be #1

Rock Chalk Chant is the best college chant but its not their fight song. Im a Jayhawk is the fight song which, I do not think, is a top 20 fight song.
