Scuffle at a nightclub?

Could be worse. At least it wasn't a waffle house.

I just dont understand why players just avoid the nightclub scene alltogether until after they retire.

This kinda **** can cost you millions of dollars.

They don't even need to avoid the nightclub scene. It's more than possible to enjoy a nightclub without getting into a physical altercation. I did it all through my 20's no problem.

It should damn well be written into every players contract that if they are even seen with 100yards of a freaking 'nightclub' while they are a player in this team during the season or offseason they lose 6 games of pay. If they get involved at any highly predictable chest thumping macho crap with gang members who notoriously populate a Denver 'nightclubs' and are just looking to start some 'one-ups-man' shiat with a Bronco player they loose and entire year of pay and are subject to being canned depending just how big a screw up they did.

It's truly unbelievable the teams trust these kids half of whom are one step removed from gang life as it is with multi-million dollar contracts and don't slap some serious penalties from the teams side when they can't avoid behaving like childish idiot morons of the first order.

Ban any appearance at bars or nightclubs period before these guys get that first check.

I imagine Manning, Del Rio and Elway will have a few choice words for Ward if it turns out he was an idiot here. Speed dial time for the Broncos stud defense attorney ,,
He'll have Ward out soon enough, but if he loses any game time over this they should fine him financially as well on top if any league penalties where it really hurts and sends some kind of message that these clowns can hear!

Because by the time they retire from the NFL, they'll look like creepy old men going to nightclubs.

Considering a lot of them retire before the age of 30 you just made half the board feel old as hell!

Do you avoid the night club scene until you retire? If not then don't expect other people to and if you do, there are better things to do then party at a night club at 65.

I've been to a club exactly twice since graduating college. One of them was because a girl I was seeing wanted to go... the other was to see The Knife - an electronica band I really like that hasn't toured the US in 8 years - play.

And I don't make millions a year representing a billion dollar orginization.

I think the whole thing is being blown out of proportion...
At worst this is a misdemeanor offense. I know it doesn't take away from the action that took place, I get that, what I'm saying, -and this according to what I've learned in the news today- that is not a serious crime, this is just another case of sensacionalism by the media, like sharks reacting on blood

We don't know important details of what really took place, we don't know if he was the target or the aggressor...
Whatever the case may be, the whole thing it's overblown...

Strafen, I fully understand your point and am glad if it turns out to be the case here, perhaps it seems unfair to demand real responsibility out of a guy barely old enough to shave, but the NFL is hardly the ordinary career path either with dramatically more coin involved, not to mention the fortunes of a whole team and region resting so tentatively on these kids shoulders.

I am suggesting that with the common rash of these kind of incidences going on in the NFL, whatever tactic the league and team FO and coaches have been taking to wake these guys up and get them more or less tow the line and recognize an idiot move before doing one, hasn't worked.

We need to get the message across somehow so that this doesn't become an annual or more kind of thing in Broncoland, nor the rest of the NFL for that matter.

Lets just hope TJ didn't screw the pooch here and its a minor no suspension offense at worst case.

Usually when an arrest warrant is issued weeks after an incident it means they've gone over the facts already. At least enough to warrant an arrest.
