Default The forgotten hero in the Cowboys win

On just a 3-man rush he pushed back the LT Tyron Smith all the way back into Tony Romo and Romo tripped on his LT's foot which aided the interception by Danny.

#57 LB/DE Adrian Robinson

May be a nobody to most of us (even though he has been game activated the last 4 weeks) but let this thread at least show the appreciation for that 1 play he made.

Indeed. Props to Adrian Robinson. Without him collapsing the left side of that pocket, Romo never throws that pick.

Romo throws that pick because that's what he does ....... it's how he rolls.

I maintain if you put up 48 points and lose, you were not the problem.

I'm not saying he's the reason they lost. Kyle wasn't going to hang anything resembling 48 on us. Unless we're maybe talking whisker burns.

Just saying that particular throw was ill-advised. Even if he might've gotten away with it 7 times out of 10.

Only Rev would say a game changing, game losing INT was a good read and a good throw

Not unlike the fact that Tony Carter played good defense on the long pass play. Sometimes the other guys simply do it better.

I don't feel like much of a Bronco fan.. I thought this dude was on the practice squad and didn't have any idea who he was.

Here's some game tape. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31_YMLrudQs

Obviously, he hasn't done much beside that play in the NFL but maybe he has some potential? Hope he sticks around.

Nah I think Jammer gets the axe before Robinson, especially with Bailey returning

Default Inside Danny Trevathan's game-altering interception of Tony Romo Read More: http://sportsillustrate

"I knew that one was coming," replied Danny Trevathan, who then laughed with gusto over the phone, to a reporter's relief.
The Broncos second-year Will (weakside) linebacker was referring to a question about his first takeaway of the season -- the pick before the pick that drove a shiv deep into the heart of Texas. If it felt as if you'd heard Trevathan's name before his diving interception of Tony Romo snuffed the Cowboys' hopes in their 51-48 loss to Denver, it's probably because of his blooper against Baltimore in Week 1. That's right, Trevathan is the guy who picked off Joe Flacco in the first game of this NFL season, then lost track of where he was on the field during the return, casually dropping the ball around the two-yard-line before commencing a celebration that has him cringing still. Baltimore got the ball back on a touchback"

"and how about a little love for Trevathan, who made a sensational play? At the apex of his flight, his legs and torso were four or so feet off the ground.
"Like Superman," a reporter suggests.
"I like Superman," says Trevathan, "but Cam's got that locked down. You can call me, I don't know, how 'bout SuperGoon?"
He is at once proud, confident and self-deprecating; resigned to making mistakes and determined not to repeat them. As of Sunday afternoon, he is also redeemed.

Interesting. And, I agree that we would have problems trying to sneak CJ back to the PS.

Thanks! The old avatar before the great "ban" of '13 was a little boring.

I'm really busy at work and also I think I have brain damage.

In my defense, CJ Davis was a Bronco at one time.

I still don't get why Romo makes that throw. Look to the left. Demarco is wide open for the dump off with what looks to be a lot of open field in front of him.

Romo is progressing through his reads, deep to shallow, which is the way the play was drawn up. If he had determined that Escobar was covered and progressed to his next read, or there had been a blitz on requiring him to hit the hot route, he probably would have dumped off to Demarco.

Agreed. Murray was wide open, and would have gotten more yards.
Thanks, Tony.

Thanks KevinJames for the Robinson acknowledgement. I had no idea he was even in on that play.

Like some have said, I credit Trevathan with a great play more than Romo for a bad INT. Yes, he could have checked it down, but Escobar was open after he broke right and most of the time that's a completed pass. But Trevathan, recovered much quicker than anyone expected and closed like a ****ing rocket. Even then he had to make a tremendous diving interception.

I think another unsung hero was Shaun Phillips. On the play prior to the intercept, Shaun sacked Romo, putting the cowpokers in the hole and giving Romo a case of the happy feet on the next play.

If I remember right, that was pretty much a coverage sack. Like most the sacks we're getting this year.
