Default Broncos extend Manny Ramirez

Broncos extend Manny Ramirez's contract by 2 years through 2015. Maybe now we'll believe he's the starting center.

Blake is now on the AZ Cardinals practice squad.

I've always liked ManRam. I thought he looked good a couple years ago in camp.

Good for him. He's earned it this far. Hopefully he'll continue to improve.

I was wrong on Manny. I always thought he would be at best a swing guard backup. Apparently we're sold on him as the center potentially for the rest of the Manning window. Wonder what this means when Walton comes back?

They probably just guaranteed some money. Don't jump ahead of yourself

I guess that settles it. Team really likes Manny. He really knocked it out the park.

Just Manny being Manny

The thing I love about this team is how guys will come out of nowhere to claim starting roles, and do well in them

Chris Harris, Duke Ihenacho, Danny Trevathan, Julius Thomas

Now ManRam(Dont think anyone back in January thought he would be a legit option for us at C)

Going into the year I thought C and MLB would be the biggest Qs
Well maybe not

always has to be someone who pisses and moans about something to just be annoying. not every team hits on signing, but the last few years, our front office is hitting on their choices a hell of a lot more than they miss.

Call it what you want. It's still the truth. I don't see him as the long term C for Denver, a super sub? yes most certainly.
But there was a reason they signed Lilja.

solid signing. He has been a good backup and has played well for us.

Good guy to keep around, either starting at C (until or even after we get Walton back) or backup to G.

I was surprised at this after only one game. He really hasn't proved much yet. On the other hand I will be happy if we have found a long-term solution at C.

The Broncos with this move are just covering their own butts. He's the starting center alright, and I hope he does well, we need him!!!
However I don't see this move as an indication of being the starting center next year, he would have to have played out of his mind this season to maintain the starting job going into next year, and if he does, he truly earned it...
I truly hope he does well, though...

It will be interesting to see when Walton comes back. I don't think Manning was ever comfortable with him

Nice to see Denver has some great depth. This might also be a hint that Beadles is going to test FA.

I like what Beadles brings to the team but when you look at the contracts coming due, Harris, Woodyard, DRC etc. he might only come back to the Broncos at their contract numbers and not his.

Peyton's will have to restructure. If he doesn't then the he's a selfish prick and Elway's a water head dufus.

They can still figure something out, ala Brady and his 11m contract.

Oooh ManRam. Better run-blocker than Walton, adequate pass-blocker. Most importantly...cheap. Manny get's the job done, which is all you need with Manning at the helm. Gives Walton zero leverage with the Broncos going into 2014 Free Agency.

Don't be surprised if DRC keeps ballin that Champ may be released next year or asked to seriously restructure that $10M/yr. Anxious to see what he has left in the tank. He needs to have a big year to not find himself in a situation similar to what Doom found himself in.

Reevis is getting $16 million a year. Champ is not over paid at $10 million.

He is if he has regressed from elite to your average run of the mill corner due to age (it will catch up to everyone). Last time we saw him in a real game he got TOASTED by a nothing special speedster receiver and may have cost us a SuperBowl. I love Champ and everything he has done but just like Doom...you don't overpay when the productivity wanes a bit.

Like the other post said...you can do a lot with $10,000,000. Hello DT, Woodyard, DRC.

You can do a lot with Champ's $10 million bucks. I wouldn't be shocked to see Champ in a different uniform next year.
