Default Darrell Issas' irs investigation falling apart

http://mobile.businessweek.com/artic...-falling-apart

Quote:
But after a burst of attention, Issa’s investigation appears to have stalled. Although he turned up embarrassing material—has any government official been humiliated quite like the IRS commissioner in the dorky video dressed up as Spock ?—Issa hasn’t made the all-important connection to the White House. And he may not be able to. The news this week that he won’t release the full transcripts of his interviews with IRS officials—interviews he selectively quoted from to imply White House complicity—suggests that what they contain may in fact exonerate the administration of the very charge Issa is laboring so hard to prosecute.
So far it's been what I figured.

Funny; if they targeted black folks like that, I'm quite sure you'd have a problem with it.

Keep closin that case for the boss Tony.

Who approved the targeting? Oh that's right, still no answer beyond our responsive and accountable government administrators pleadin the fif.

Case Closed though says the fan club president. In reality the whole thing has just been overshadowed by your fan club approved "I know what you did last summer" public safety program.

If auditing=targeting I guess we have no choice but to disband the IRS.

Issa is a felon, a liar, and just one more in a long line of little ideological fanatics and McCarthy clones, i.e. a little man trying to slime his way to the top.

So Issa was a little fast and furious in his younger days but i don't think he ever got convicted of grand theft did he? Everyone loves it when Vin Diesel steals a car.

Amazing man though he is a self made millionaire and everyone has to respect that. Oh i know liberals don't unless you are al gore.

Oh I think there is at least one self made millionaire that Gore doesn't respect, David Siegel. Of course Siegel is questioning his tactics also now.

Turn it over to a special prosecutor as Congress can't get to the bottom of anything. That way Congress can move on but maybe an investigation can drag it on, snag a few more people in its snare, or even uncover who actually was behind it.

A special prosecutor isn't going to find something that isn't there or couldn't have been found already by congress.

For someone who supposedly hates socialism, you sure quote Orwell a lot.

Makes me think you really didn't understand the man or his views.

Have you actually read 1984, or are you just doing a Google search for Orwell quotes?

Yeah, considering Orwell's commitment to Democratic Socialism, it's hilarious to see right-wingers like Pony Boy quoting him as if they're kindred spirits. Put it this way, Orwell would have been more likely to show up at an OWS protest than a Tea Party rally.

I read it somewhere around 8th grade so my memory of it is really rusty.

Thought about downloading it for a read, I doubt I really processed a lot of it back then. Most of us probably know more about it from cultural reference than from the text itself or its author.
